Business/EconomyHealthcare and wellness services make up the largest employment sector in San Gabriel. San GabrielValley Medical operates the San Gabriel Valley Medical Center (SGVMC), which is by far the mostsignificant employer in the city. The 273-bed hospital offers emergency services, a maternity unit, surgeryspecialties and geriatric psychiatric care.
