Circulareconomy
The optimisation of the use of natural resources, the reutilisation of waste as raw materials, the prioritisation of recycling and reutilisation of waste and the inclusion of eco-design criteria, are all key elements of the new economic model: the Circular Economy.
Therefore, Sacyr has supported the Pact for the Circular Economy being currently the main 2020 strategy of the European Union for the generation of growth and employment. The objective of Sacyr is to reduce the generation of waste and improve its reuse for any process or activity that takes place.

LongitudinalHighwayoftheSierra(Peru)Sacyr has delivered 10,000 m³ of recyclable materials for the improvement of 10 kilometers of neighborhood roadsbordering the project, which promotes sustainability through the reuse of materials.
These residues of bituminous mixtures, coming from material for asphalting, are considered materials inert and can be reusable as gravel, between other apps. The reuse of the milling material it entails a great economic and energetic saving when requiring lower additional bitumen than a new asphalt concrete, since the energy needed for the production of a firm recycled and by reducing the cost of transport.
With this type of initiatives, and through the signing of Inter-institutional agreements with local governments, Sacyrstrengthens its commitment to optimizing the consumption of resources and reduction of waste generation.
