This $3.8 million cooperative agreement awarded Vanderbilt the lead role in an 8-state region; our proposal was selected over the incumbent institution that had managed the SE AETC for the last 13 years. Managed Maternal and Child Health Needs Assessment contract between Middle Tennessee State University and the Tennessee Department of Health – administered budget, managed administrative staff, identified data sources, coordinated data collection, conducted qualitative research, developed and implemented meeting for statewide stakeholders – results of assessment used in Tennessee’s $13 million Maternal and Child Health Block Grant to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
