Description :
DLCT is a stand-alone Java application whichconverts the given
input ER diagram
to its equivalent relational database schema. Database life
cycle makes the life of
developer easy. The developer can spare more time on design of
ER diagram
which leads to a robust database design. This is a fully
automated tool consisting
of two phases. In the formal phase, the given ER diagram is
converted into its
equivalent relational database schema while in the later phase;
the relational
schema is refined by disseminating redundancies, inconsistencies
to obtain a
robust, normalized relational schema.
Responsibilities:
Involved in analyzing the project and designed the high-level
flow diagram.
Designed the DLCT system architecture for ER to relational
conversion
process.
Developed various Java classes required for the system
architecture.
Extensive utilization of XML to store ER diagrams and DOM
processing.
