On Saturday morning I have to woke up earlier. At 7.30 Oclock all student must

be there in collage for particvated in English Camp Collage 2011. We arrived in

one of beautiful place in Wanayasa, and we called Pasanggarahan Village. It was

the original place,nature,and peaces. There are many rise

field,garden,forrest,and the highest reliefs. And the house that made were very

traditional and classic,but it was fun,exotise,and comfortable I think. The people

who stayed here were very kindly,classic,innocent,and original because they

have used Sundaness as they language. Here our adventures began.

After we made a grup,we gave the instruction from Mr. Irwan who has a Brance

Manager in LP3I purwakarta. the first job is searching information aboutstructural of this village and we must make a jingle/yel-yel.

In here we found new experience, met many people, and got some knowledge

from did not know become know. We found something new that we did know

and fells. In the other hand, we are olso taught about

togetherness,cohesiveness,leadership,socializing,and also more appreciative of

our beloved earth because the theme of this program is back to nature.

In the first place we met Mr. oggie who gave us a game but we have to go

straight to the rise field. There we give three words in a whisper from one person

to another which then must be mede in one sentence. I dont know the purposeof this game, but the instructor said this game is just for fun.

Go to the next post we met Mr. Sobari and Mr. Heri who taught us how to make

bricks that where these materials are usually used to build houses. It made from

sand and lime in stir with enough water. The batter is inserted into

the mold adobe brick molds to produce good results, But these

results can not directly be used because it must pass through the drying for

oneweek. only then could the transport and use. selling

price of brick is rp 700/unit with production per day as many as 100-250 units.

Go to next post we went to the vegetable garden and met with mr. Saepudin

who manages thegarden about 150m. Besides Mr. Saepudin, there is no

Mr. JJ the damage and makethe garden Mr. Saepudin damaged. not

really, Mr. JJ explains all the content is there in the . after we asked

Mr Saepudin about the types of vegetables that are there and how planting

plantation house. and then the problems that exist in the maintenance

process to sales.

after knowing different kinds of vegetables in the

garden Mr. Saepudin we continue to house the production of palm sugar.

there we met Miss occe and couples who make palm sugar. the early

morning go-doer palm sugar palmToddy Forestry to take that on leave day and

night. then results in cooking in furnaces until thickened after filtered first.

after thickens then inserted into the mold and dried bamboo.

uniqueness of this sugar is natural sugar-making and traditional so it takes a

very long process and tiring.

Aren or palm (Arrenga pinnata Merr) is one of the palm family has a high

potential economic value and can flourish in tropical regions like Indonesia. Palm

plants can grow on all kinds of soil conditions, good soil argillaceous, calcareous

and sandy. But palm trees are not resistant to acidic soil that is too high. In

Indonesia, palm plants to grow and produce an optimal on land which has an

altitude above 1,200 meters above sea level with average air temperature

25ocelcius. Beyond that, the palm trees can still grow but not optimal in

production.

Sugar palm tree has a high economic potential because almost all the parts to

provide financial benefits. The fruit can be made to and fro that favored by the

people of Indonesia in general. The leaves can be used as materials and crafts

can also be a roof, while its roots can be used as medicine. Can be obtained from

the stem fibers and a stick that has economic value. In addition, young stems

can be taken sagunya, while in old age can be used as furniture material. But of

all palm products, palm juice coming from the sleeve of the male flowers as

ingredients for palm sugar production is the greatest economic value. In the tree

potential to be developed.

After that we continued to the last post and met with Mr. Pri and Mr. Maman who

is a farmer and also is a neighborhood in the village. He explains about how to

plow the fields,the process of making rise seeds and rise varieties are good for

the area. After the planting periode for 7 months of the new rise could be

harvested. Yieldsare usually for consumption by his family.

All the post was we go trought,we gathered in the hall and eat together. After

that we had to presentation the results of our observations in front of all

students,lecturers,and the committee by each groups. Hopefully with this event

we got more knowledge and especially the ability to speak in English.
