    Surgical Ward:Pre-operative Preparation:- Establishing rapport to the patient to gain trust- Reinforce the patient knowledge about the procedure to be perform- Secure of written consent for the legalities of the procedure- Check of ID band, removing of dentures, jewelry, contact lens and nail polish of the patient- Instruct the patient to maintain NPO prior to operation- Instruct the patient to void prior to administering pre-op medication- Identify the patient properly prior of giving pre-op medication- Ensures safety of the patient after administering pre-op meds by raising the side rails up- Documents everything that has been done to the patients- Transport the patient safely to the operating room- Endorsed the patient properly to OR nursePost-operative Care:- Assist the patient in transferring to bed and placed comfortably- Received the endorsement to PACU nurse at bedside- Take the vital signs immediately after receiving the endorsement
