    I am an intuitive and driven third year student at Portsmouth university, currently seeking work placement within the mediaindustry commencing summer 2010.

    PERSONAL PROFILE

    Always pushing myself to achieve goals and keep improving on past efforts, I enjoy the gratification of completing productions, knowing that I have performed to the best of my abilities and produced something that the viewer

    and other creators are pleased with. I am inspired to create new and powerful media, both at university and in myown time I am constantly developing and creating new works and ideas.

    The experiences and work that I have developed throughout higher education have allowed me to explore myown artistic style and understanding of visual arts, I am confident in my abilities and hold great aspirations for myfuture in production. I have great respect for artists such as Matt Reeves and Francis Lawrence. My portfolio is one

    that I am very proud of as it truly showcases my achievements and the evolution of my talent to this point. I

    wholly believe that I have a great deal to bring to both your company and team if given the opportunity; In a timethat is truly the platinum age of film.

    2007 11 BSc (Hons) Degree in Entertainment Technology at the University of Portsmouth. Completed year One & Two with 2.1 certification.Anticipated degree classification of 2.1

    Degree focused upon Digital Video, Project Management, and post Production Editing. Creating and developing film proposals as well as directing and leading a production

    team. Conducting research and preparation for shooting. Strengths within editing environment, with commitment to post production. Organizing filming schedules and structuring of personal projects. Software abilities ranging from Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office, and

    a number of Adobe programs.

    SKILLS

    I have gained qualifications in other sporting fields including scuba diving: PADI Open Water Diver. As well aspassing many First Aid and Safety Regulation exams within the work place at previous employments.

    I enjoy a range of different activities from drums to cycling, membership in societies such as go carting and rugby aswell as a keen interest in film, I approach work with a sociable but professional attitude; performing well under pressure and interacting easily with others. I can be left with responsibilities or form a valuable member of a team. Ibelieve these to be the type of skills I am most competently equipped with.

    Assistant Office Work

    Through known connections I was fortunate enough to experience the office environment at the structuralengineering company; Arthur J ferryman & Associates. Here I was responsible for running errands inputting data and

    delivering information, as well as many other office duties e.g. printouts and reports. I feel that I provided a muchneeded resource to the team and promoted a positive working atmosphere. The use of computer software such as;MS Access, Excel, Power point, and Word, gave me valuable skills and I ensured tasks were carried out on scheduleand of the highest possible standard.

    2008 June Dec The Fishery Inn Boxmoor Barman / Waiter Over the summer of this year I worked at a local guesthouse the fishery inn, part of the Mitchell and Butlerscompany. Here I was responsible for serving and presenting food to customers on the restaurant floor as well asmixing and serving drinks behind the bar. I earned very valuable skills working under the sorts of pressure andrequirements of this job and believe this area of work is one that I thrive in. I took a keen interest In thepreservation, preparation and presentation of drinks and food whilst working and thoroughly enjoyed being part ofa team providing these services.

    2006 2008 Argos Home Retail Group Apsley MillsSales AssistantDuring my AS and A2 levels I undertook part time work at Argos part of the Home Retail Group. Here I was able toexplore and develop different skills such as problem solving, team working, balancing responsibilities, and providinggood quality service. Within the Customer Services department I was able to deal with potentially difficult customersand resolve issues that had occurred, I also was able to work with incoming/outgoing deliveries, organizing stocktransfers and employing physical attributes when not working within the team to process orders in front of or behind the shop floor.
