WORK EXPERIENCE
A) Civil Engineer: (3 years of professional experience at ODEBRECHT - PERU).Odebrecht focuses on investments in infrastructure in Latin America, being the 13th biggest contractor in the world (ENR), acting in more than 25 countries.
Member of “Joven Parcero” ODEBRECHT graduate program. This program allows the graduates to work in different areas in their first three years, in order to give them a total domain in the construction business and project management.
IIRSA NORTE: 1050 km highway construction and maintenance PPP for 25 years (500 million USD). All the positions and projects below are under the IIRSA NORTE PPP contract:
1) Site Engineer Piura, Peru: (Jan – Dec ´15)
Piura – Paita 2nd carriageway construction project (Segunda Calzada): 88 million USD
- Efficiently reengineered the Gantt chart that reached the annual milestone (30 km of paved road).- Leading 22 foremen and 800 tradesmen (heavy machinery operators, carpenters, steel fixers, etc.).- Accomplishment of construction procedures as planned (time and cost): earthworks (cut & fill),
subgrade, grade and asphalt placement.- Competent development of the material transportation daily scheduling (more than 5000m3 of
sand and sub base distributed among 50 km). - Heavy equipment daily management: over 130 trucks, 24 graders and rollers strategically
distributed.
Interchange road construction project (Intercambio vial Piura): 20 million USD
- Handling total responsibility for the delivery of two construction procedures: earthworks and Maccaferri´s precast assembly (vertical concrete faced soil reinforcement structures). The entire project was delivered one month before the due date.
- Stakeholders management: securing water resources developing a drag system to use an underwater font in order to preserve a river used by 5 communities in a waterless desert. The project needed 240´000 gallons per day.
- Leading 450 labourers and 04 foremen in diverse construction processes.- In charge of the development of the Last Planner tool for earthworks and Maccaferri MacRes®
System Assembly.- Liaised and worked alongside with scaffolding and safety barriers subcontractors and design
engineers seeking a successful and low cost delivery.- Day / Night shift daily scheduling and weekly productivity analysis during construction.
2) Safety engineer Bagua Grande, Peru: (Set 2014 – Dec 2014)
- Design and implementation of new construction safety policies for the highland ancillary road sites. We experienced a 13% reduction of accidents in the workplaces.
3) Design engineer Lima: (Jan 2014 – Aug 2014)
- BIM modelling and review of a green building design to match LEED standards.- Detailed cost estimation (unit price compositions) for Piura projects, successfully approved by the
Transportation Ministry of Peru. The real cost of the project was 4% below the estimated (checked in July 2015 after completion).
4) Contract administration associate Lima: (Oct 2013 – Dec 2013)
- Elaboration of the arbitration petition with legal and technical criteria for a dispute resolution.
B) Civil engineer trainee: (intern at ODEBRECHT - PERU).
1) Construction department assistant Yurimaguas Port: 2013
- Steel and concrete pile driving supervision at Yurimaguas jungle port road. 40 million USD
- Successfully implemented an innovation scheme, shipping 4 times more material than expected through a jungle river.
2) Engineering department assistant Tarapoto and Piura: (2011 – 2012)
- Supervision in the assembling and mounting procedures of three bridges.
