Vice President Internal Affairs – Carleton University Students’ Association Inc. I specifically oversaw the board of directors (34 people on this political body, a chair and a clerk), our main office (7

people including an office manager), all our corporate and student committees, and our clubs and societies office (2 commissioners and over 150 student groups on campus).

I also advocated for students’ rights by lobbying our school’s senior administration, local businesses, and all 3 levels of government on behalf of ~20,000 Carleton undergraduate students.

Finally, I coordinated with the other 4 VPs and our President in their tasks as well, and represented CUSA in the Canadian Federation of Students, our national students’ association representing ~600,000 students. Such tasks included running campaigns and promoting student involvement and activism, overseeing 4 businesses; a bookstore, a bar, a convenience store and a coffeehouse, planning events, creating the budget, operating 9 service centers, and sitting on several administrative boards and committees at Carleton University.

Vice President Administration – Rideau River Residence Association Inc. (RRRA)May 2010 – April 2011 (largest residence students’ association in Canada) Trustee, Director and Signing Authority of this $1.2 mil corporation. I specifically oversaw the board of directors (50 people on this political body, a chair and a clerk), our main office (5

people and I was the office manager), and all our corporate and student committees. I also advocated for students’ rights by lobbying our residence housing staff and senior administration on behalf of

~3000 residence students. I ran the Parliament Hill Volunteer Program and secured over 50 internship positions for Carleton students with MPs. Finally, I coordinated with the President and Vice President Programming in their tasks as well, planning events,

creating the budget and overseeing a convenience store.
