2011 – Present Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Polk, LASenior Manager on a 14-person Plans and Operations Team that designs and executes highly intensive training exercises to prepare elite U.S. Army organizations for dynamic mission sets. Coordinate all logistical resources required for training, and manage diverse groups of up to 200

support personnel, including unit mentors, role players, and contracted logisticians. Interpret national-level policy to inform training scenario development and align objectives with strategic priorities. Manage and maintain over $150K of sensitive and specialized government property. Planned and executed 25 training iterations that prepared over

20K Special Forces operators and U.S. Army personnel for critical security missions worldwide. During each iteration, synchronized hundreds of augmentees and contractors executing a variety of functions, including role playing, unit mentorship, and logistical support, to provide effective, realistic training.

Spearheaded the development and delivery of multidiscipline intelligence training, functioning as the resident Subject Matter Expert on human and signals intelligence. Efforts were instrumental to JRTC’s rise to prominence as a premier center for Special Operations training.

Led cross-functional coordination efforts between top decision makers within the JRTC Operations Group and senior officials from the U.S. Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, local and state governments, local and federal law enforcement, major corporations, and civilian landowners. Enabled the use of unconventional infrastructure in training exercises, including ports, airfields, and metropolitan areas, to heighten scenarios’ realism.

2008 – 2011 A Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, NC Second-in-charge and Chief Intelligence Team Leader for a 12-person Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha (ODA) that frequently and rapidly deployed to perform security operations in Afghanistan. Worked closely with Operations Team Leader and executive-level leaders to develop information requirements, intelligence priorities, and collection plans in accordance with strategic and national security objectives. Oversaw integration of Counterterrorism and Force Protection considerations into mission planning, and ensured protection and integrity of classified information. Led intelligence efforts during three deployments to remote

areas of Afghanistan for a combined total of 20 months. During rotations, worked closely with key leaders in local government to promote stability, security, and peace in the region. Established, trained, and ultimately transferred operational responsibility to three local chapters of the Afghan Police.

Assumed supervisory and operational responsibility for ODA and 15 additional support personnel for two months during deployment to a contentious part of Afghanistan. During that time, supervised all aspects of operational planning, including mission analysis, course of action development and selection, on-the-ground team leadership, and post-mission assessments.

Mentored 12 Afghan National Army’s (ANA) Special Forces operators. Trained ANA counterparts in the tenets and implications of the laws of war and escalation of force, as well as the nuances involved with civilian relationship building and government interdependence.

Ran intelligence operations for a 460-person organization for one year. Resourced security and access documentation required to deploy five ODAs as part of the 2009 surge in Afghanistan.

Senior Communications Manager 2003 – 2008

C Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, NC Senior Manager and principle technical advisor for communication capabilities and strategies for a 110-person Special Forces Company and a 12-person ODA. Managed over $1M of Information Technology (IT) equipment and sensitive government property to enable continuous lines of communication between ODAs and Higher Headquarters (HQ) elements. Budgeted, managed, and periodically audited a $100K discretionary fund for use in security operations. Facilitated constant contact between ODAs and HQ unit during

five deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Never lost communication between critical elements, which frequently required exercises of creativity and ingenuity due to austere environmental conditions.

Functioned as Intelligence Team Leader during deployment to Iraq. Simultaneously directed security and intelligence efforts, while managing communications in remote locations.

Instrumental in the planning, design, and establishment of a $400M ANA Special Forces training center in Kabul. In the interim, supported multinational efforts to train ANA operators in Jordan. Prepared executive reports and update briefs to inform top decision makers of progress.
