Project Abstract :

Zurich UK General Insurance (UKGI) is currently undergoing a strategic programme to transform and simplify its IT landscape in order to better serve the business for the future. In line with this there are a number of separate UK projects underway.

International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a reporting tool used by Zurich for reporting Zurich insurance products. The deposit model data is used for several different purposes, to provide data in the monthly financial reporting process, to help understand which of the products that Zurich sells are more profitable and also to provide general insight to lot of other teams within finance as well as outside of finance.

IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is the global accounting standard of Zurich Financial Services. UK Life alongside all other Zurich businesses is required to provide IFRS accounts each quarter to corporate centre.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Involving to analyze the business and business requirements.• Participating in daily status calls with client and onsite co-coordinator to getting clarification on

requirement.• Designed project related documents like HLD, LLD.• Filling the process related documents like Effort Tracking sheet, PDA, Unit test exit report...etc.• Distributing work to the team, monitoring and Giving clarifications wherever they have doubts on

DatamigrationOne of the initiatives is the Michelangelo programme which aims to consolidate the existing UK Claims applications into a single new application. Zurich has selected “Guidewire ClaimCenter” (GWCC) as their preferred solution.ClaimCenter requires policy data to be available so a policy snapshot can be taken and stored at the time a claim is made. In order to prevent GWCC having to integrate to each policy source system a policy data store, Policy Lookup, will be designed and implemented. Policy Lookup will hold policy data for all legacy policy systems in scope and make it available to GWCC. To achieve this, a one off migration of policy data is required.

MI ReportingOne of the initiatives is the Michelangelo programme which aims to generate Reports for claims.To generate reports, First bringing data from GWCC and building EDW(Data warehousing) and from there making CLD(Claims Data Mart) for reporting purpose.

Project Abstract :At present Financial Planning use a wide and diverse range of legacy data systems to provide

various business areas with MI and incentive data. Some are no longer fully supported and rely on manual interventions to keep the systems operational. As the business now has a contractual obligation to migrate data from Aviva to RBS there is an opportunity to simplify what data is stored. The goal of the project is to remove the reliance of data feeds from Aviva that meets Aviva’s Standard Operating Model and transfer to a single central RBS owned and maintained data repository to facilitate future MI requirements
