Project Manager February- January 2016

Managed a series of projects at the EMAS marine base such as Big Bend, Gunflint for Noble as

a third party contractor resulting in successful project completion. I was involved in all managing

aspects of personnel placed on pipeline assembly, barge work and fabrication shop. My duties

included hiring personnel, timekeeping, performance and safety evaluation. Apart from

personnel duties, I was also involved in the submission of bids to clientele for potential work, the

ordering of material such as pipe for fabrication work, ordering the necessary equipment from

local renters, creation and management of purchase orders and invoicing, and contract

negotiations. One of my biggest duties was administrating tools and keeping an inventory of

personal protective equipment and tools.

development of an operations procedures manual which provided a fully detailed description of

the entire clinic functions.

Accomplishments

Management Efficiency Led construction crew to finish requested work orders on barges under estimated cost and time frames, resulting in a very efficient project. Assisted in the completion of barge work by coordinating a team of employees and having needed equipment ready for job. Participated in the implementation of a safer way to bevel pipe after employee had incident. Wrote the Operations Procedures Manual that is to be implied at the Urology Clinic at Doctor Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Tx. Supported the South Texas College Drama Club as a director of The Lady or the Tiger (a Mexican American adaptation of the classic story “The Lady or The Tiger”). It was written and

produced by myself in March 2012 and went on to win “Best in Show” at the PCA/ACA conference in Boston, Massachusetts on April 11, 2012

Leadership I became one of South Texas College’s “Most Helpful” tutors by creating successful study groups and sessions that helped students achieve their academic goals. This was an activity that I contributed to three hours a day, six days a week.
