CHARLES, Ill. – Hundreds of Kane County youth participated in the annual Kane County Fair through their 4-H projects and animal shows in July. “For months, our 4-H members work hard to learn about new things and develop skills, which they then demonstrate through 4-H exhibits and shows at the annual Kane County Fair,” said Doris Braddock, 4-H Youth Development Program Coordinator. “4-H has something to offer everyone. With 100-plus project areas, youth can explore arts, sciences, citizenship, personal development, and much more.” The 4-H conference judging and livestock shows provide the youth with valuable experiences and constructive feedback to continue growing in their knowledge and skills levels, added Braddock. “My favorite thing about the fair is being a part of the livestock shows and showing my other projects,” said Megan Mingl 17, of Maple Park, who exhibited multiple projects including visual arts and veterinary science. “You always get to learn new things. You are constantly learning from the judges and meeting new people. It’s a really great experience.” The 2016 Kane County 4-H Show Results are as follows (listed by name, 4-H club and city of residence): 2015 Kane County Fair, 4-H Results Page 1 of 21

2016 Kane County Fair Showcases 4-H Youth and What They Learn

ST.

The 4-H conference judging and livestock shows provide the youth with valuable experiences and constructive feedback to continue growing in their knowledge and skills levels, added Braddock.

“My favorite thing about the fair is being a part of the livestock shows and showing my other projects,” said Megan Mingl 17, of Maple Park, who exhibited multiple projects including visual arts and veterinary science. “You always get to learn new things.
