Restoration Of The True Anointing

Part IV

Galat 3:1-3 1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

A.DECEIVED.CHURCH.BY.THE.WORLD_ JEFF.IN CH 67 SUNDAY_ 59-0628M

72 “…How you going to have a revival of the Holy Ghost, and people quench It and bound It and afraid of It? There's where the trouble lies.”

Palmerworm, Locust, Cankerworm & Caterpillar; 59-0823: Par 101

If God brought forth His first branch out of that Vine, was a Pentecostal branch, with power, visions, revelations, healings, sanctification, Holy Spirit, the next branch will be the same thing. Certainly will…

To Take On The Whole Armor Of God: 62-0701: Par E-94

And so now, God, knowing at this last days there will come intellectual giants, there will come everything intellectual, all kinds of the enemy with reasoning powers to try to prove to the church that the days of miracles is past and all this. God packed in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with what? Speaking with tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecies, gifts, and all kinds of things. They may seem hard in training, but, brother, on the battle front, every one of them's got to be used. God equips His soldiers exactly what it takes to use. Amen.Oh, they might say, "Just learn psychology." That won't work. No, sir. That's as thin as broth made out of the shadow of a chicken that starved to death. So that's no good. We have to have power of the Holy Ghost coming upon a man, with all the nine spiritual gifts dwelling in him.

The Easter Seal; 65-0410; Par 43

Paul is ordaining these gifts into the Church, thirty years later. And said, in Galatians 1:8, "If an Angel from Heaven preaches to you any other Gospel than This which is already received," see, already been preached, "let him be accursed." I believe that pentecost began without an ending. I believe it's to be to every creature, all times, at all places, that pentecost should ALWAYS REMAIN. The pentecostal blessings should be upon the people.

Q&A – Conduct Order & Doctrine; 61-0112: Par 525-96

Now, but now, let me just not get away from that now, because I don't want to dishonor a great gift that God has given. See? And I believe that a Spirit-filled man, or woman, or a child, that lives under the altar of God, won't live there LONG until they'll be speaking with tongues. See? I believe that he will do it, or she. Now, you can receive the Holy Ghost, and maybe you didn't speak with tongues when you get It. See? But if you constantly lay there before God all the time, with baptism after baptism striking you, something's going to take place. See? You'll get so full someday till you can't talk nothing else. See, you--you--you try to say something; you just can't say it no more; and you just can't say it. And many times IF people realized that - that was the Holy Spirit - they'd go ahead and just open their heart up and let God speak to them…”

CHURCH.ORDER; 63-1226; Par 25 Now, if I've ever had anything that's been a thorn in my flesh, out in the meeting, it's someone to rise up when I'm speaking and then give a message in tongues and break the Spirit. I just come out of a meeting in New York and different places to where ministers let that go on, time after time, and it's nothing but a confusion. See, when God is dealing in one line of thought, He... it would be--it would... He would be defeating His Own purpose, if He's trying to get a line of thought to you, to the congregation, to make an altar call and something butt in.

GOD.KEEPS.HIS.WORD:57-0120E; Par E-57

When I go into a place and start preaching and make an altar call, a woman raised up and speak in tongues. Why, what a disgrace. What a--what a pity that is. That shows that their pastor had, is not on the Word of God, or he'd have stopped that thing and said, "Don't you do that." See? Nothing against the gift, it's misused. See?...”

Matt 7:22-23 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The Feast Of The Trumpets:64-0719M: Par 243

The Holy Spirit has been bound by these denominational rivers, for almost two thousand years, but is to be loosed in the evening time, by the evening-time Message. The Holy Spirit back in the Church again; Christ, Himself, revealed in human flesh, in the evening time. He said. He promised it.

AND.THY.SEED.SHALL.POSSESS.THE.GATE.OF.HIS.ENEMY; 62-0121M; Par E78

“…The Spirit leads with the Word, 'cause the Spirit can only come out of the Word, 'cause His Word is Spirit; and It can only... The real true Spirit of God can only speak the Word of God. Oh, my…”

LOOKING.AT.THE.UNSEEN:59-0410; Par E-10

“…But God knows what He's doing as long as He's a leading. You see, you must always go by the Spirit, and the Spirit will always agree with the Word. Now, if the Spirit leads you contrary to the Word, then it's NOT the Spirit of God…”

Gen 12:1-2 1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:   Abram had ABSOLUTELY NO idea where God

was going to lead him!

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Num 13:1-2

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

AT.KADESH.BARNEA: 56-0527: Par E-55 “…ten of them said, "We can't take it. We can't take it. Oh," said, "we met the--the Amorites, and Midianites, and the--and the Canaanites and all that. Why, we looked like grasshoppers aside of them. They're great big fellows, and their cities are all walled in, and there's no way for us to ever get in. Oh, our hearts are fainting within us; we can't take it." And the popular vote of the people, the people received it… What was it? Those cowardly church members was looking to what they could see with their eyes, but Caleb and Joshua was looking to God's promise. I don't care how much opposition they had; how big the giants looked; how big the fences looked; they were looking to God's promise…”

THE.PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE:60-1207 137 Now, this first Nicene Council, and it was in A.D. 330--325. About fifteen hundred delegates and bishops attended the meeting, but they overruled them in some foggy, stormy council it was. And they overruled them and voted in that the Nicolaitanes took over…”

370-2 A.RESUME.OF.THE.AGES - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.10

Sad to say the true vine was not exactly immune to this doctrine. By that I do not mean that the true vine ever did establish the Nicolaitane ideas as a doctrine. Far from it. But that little worm of death kept sucking at the true vine hoping that it might fall. Even within the true church, men whom God had called as overseers were holding that title to mean a little more than just a local responsibility. It was not the clear understanding of Paul that existed in the church at this time. For Paul had said, "And they glorified God in me." No matter what authority Paul had, he kept the people looking to God from Whom is all authority. But the clergy was always looking to Divine Leadership PLUS HUMAN, and thus in giving honor where honor was not due, we find that the true church was spotted with humanism. With Nicolaitanism established--apostolic succession--placed ministers--pastors voted in, etc., it was only one step for the false church to proceed to Balaamism.

A.SUPER.SENSE_ JEFF.IN V-20 N-7 SUNDAY_ 59-1227E: Par 13

“…I'm sure that the trustees, and all, are aware now that at the end of fiscal year in first of January, that all offices of the church, such as pastors and deacons, and so forth, expires. Then if they want to continue on... Not pastors; I didn't mean that. I meant trustees, and deacons, and Sunday school teachers, and so forth, they... The pastor is elected in by the church, and he stays until, until. And then--then they... If the people, the present board of trustees, or deacons, or Sunday school teachers, or whatmore, if they want to continue on, they just continue on. If they don't, then they have--they have to resign if they don't want to continue on;…”

We are studying the BEGINNING of the effects of Nice Rome, Of how that worm of DEATH got into the True Church and was SUCKING the LIFE out of it!!  The Seed Is Not Heir With The Shuck; 65-0218; Par 126

Politics, voting in and voting out, saying this, that, or the other, and the Holy Spirit has no more right-of-way in the church than nothing. No more prayer meetings, no more agonizing with God to fulfill His Word! No more believing that the Word is still the same yesterday, today, and forever!

POWER.OF.TRANSFORMATION:65-1031M; Par 280

And notice in the church life. It used to be, in the church life, long ago, when the prophet had something to say, THUS SAITH THE LORD, the people moved. They stayed right with It. They moved. But now, "I don't like that guy. Vote him out." Huh! See? Uh-huh. See, they don't have understanding no more.

The people just don't move by the Spirit of God anymore.

1 Sam 8:4-7

4 Then all the ELDERS of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, 5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. 6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. 7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

RETURN.AND.JUBILEE:62-1122; Par E-30

Along back in the age when the early church was getting itself together, immediately they had to go to ORGANIZING. And when they did, because they was afraid that somebody else would--a leader would get a little group. They had ISSUES that came in, and then they had to ORGANIZE these ISSUES. If they had just have left it alone, let the Holy Spirit weed out, and bring out, and lead in, and put in, the church would've been farther advanced than it is now in spiritual power. Yes.

THE.WORLD.IS.FALLING.APART: 63-1115: Par 163

Our educational system, in our churches, has led us far away from the Presence of God. It's too bad that we put our boys (I'm talking of Pentecostals now) out into the seminaries and things, hatch them out like incubator chickens. That's right. I always felt sorry for an incubator chicken, it was--wasn't hatched right. He chirps, and he ain't got no mammy to go to, just turned out by a big machine of a regime. That's the way they seem to be turning out preachers today, with some kind of a doctor's degree, and send him into a church. And sometimes he knows no more about God than an Hottentot would know about an Egyptian night.

THE.WORLD.IS.AGAIN.FALLING.APART:63-1127: Par 59

Our educational system, our denominational system, has took the place of the Holy Spirit leading in the church. Our great fine training of ministers and things has taken place of the all-night prayer meetings, and the old-time way we used to get to God. Now, instead of having preachers, we got lecturers, men knows the Word just as well, they can sit there and put It together in such a way that it's astounding how they can do it. They know the mechanics, but that ain't the Dynamics. We want the Dynamics. I don't care about the mechanics; I want to know the Dynamics. What does It do?

RETURN.AND.JUBILEE:62-1122: Par E-53 And it displeased God. And Samuel wept before the Lord, and the Lord said, "They haven't rejected you, Samuel, they've rejected Me. You're just an instrument I'm working through. Let them have it." And that's exactly what they got. And we find the sorrow that followed it. God is their King. God is our King. The Holy Spirit is our Leader. God give us the Holy Ghost; let's stay by It. The Bible of direction to see whether It is the Holy Ghost; the Holy Ghost can't promise something here and deny it over here. It's got to keep exactly what It said to remain God. All right. It's got to stay Holy Spirit, got to be the same. Yes.

THE.REJECTED.KING: 60-0515M: Par 8-5

Now, that's the kind of man that the people like to choose today. The people does not seem to be satisfied with the way that God placed His church to be governed and controlled by the Holy Spirit…they're not able to throw themselves completely into God's hand to be spiritual to be led by the Holy Spirit.

THE.DEEP.CALLING.TO.THE.DEEP:56-0415: Par E-33

“…And if God has give a duck sense enough, but instinct to escape the cold weather, how much more does He give a man the baptism of the Holy Ghost to shield himself and to keep away? But the thing of it is ducks know their leader. But men don't know his Leader. He will be led by man and not by Spirit. The Spirit leads men. Jesus is our Leader. The Holy Spirit leads us. But we reason it out and say, "Well, it might have been in that day." If...”

HEAR.YE.HIM:57-0322; Par E-12 “…The mind of Christ is to be in the church. And the mind of God was in Christ. And how that the Spirit led Christ, so ought His Spirit lead the church. And all that God was He poured into Christ; and all Christ was He poured into the church. So the church has the power that Christ had. Christ had the power that God had. He said, "At that day you'll know that I am in the Father, the Father in Me; I in you and you in Me." You'll find out that God dwells in His church, in His people.”

THE.SIGN.OF.THIS.TIME: 63-1113: Par 55

Look, even the apostles, after they tried to choose one, because of Judas falling, they cast lots and it fell on Matthias. That was the best that they could do with the keys to the Kingdom. And there is not a Scripture wrote where he did anything. But God chose Saul… See, the church chose Matthias, but God chose Paul. See, that's the difference. God always does His choosing, His election. God does that by election, by His foreknowledge.”

HEBREWS.Chpt 5; 57-0908M: Par 24

“…God chose Paul. Man chose Matthias. When he...They cast the lots, but he never did nothing. That shows what a power the church has then, to make a choice, to elect their deacons, and send their preachers to different places. That's carnal, many time. Let a man go where God leads him to go. I like that.

INFLUENCES: 64-0215: Par 153

We seen self-exalted man, like that of Uzziah, who tried to take the place of an anointed office. The office of a man in the church is anointed, not appointed. It's anointed. The church, the... the pastor, the evangelist, the prophet, the apostle, must be the anointed office of God, not elected by man. Man tried to elect that office one time, they cast lots for it; poor Matthias never done nothing, but God chose Paul and he did something because he was anointed…But when God comes in and takes over, then we see the anointing of the Holy Spirit vindicate the Word of God.

Acts 13:2-3

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Titus 1:4-5

4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. 5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

THE.SIGN.OF.THIS.TIME: 63-1113: Par 58

Now the Holy Spirit doesn't change that trend. Jesus said, "When He the Holy Ghost is come upon you, He will show you these things I've taught you, I've said to you, and He will show you things that is to come." See, He never changes His system; always the same, therefore we can have confidence in Him.59 But, you see, our human part gets ourselves all wound up in different things, and groups of men gets together and votes on this and that. There is what throws us off the line, see, and saying, "Well, This was for another day." No. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And all the Word is inspired, all of It.

THE.PLACING.OF.DEACONS:58-0720E: Par 354-11 However, at the beginning of the revival that (if God willing) I want to hold here in this Tabernacle as soon as I get some rest, then I--then I'll... We will ordain these deacons by laying on hands, deacons and treasurer in this church. But FIRST they must be APPOINTED and--and see how they like it and how the congregation likes it. Then if it's--then if it's all right on both sides, then we make these men ordained deacons, just like trustees are elected the same way…It's the sovereignty and the law of the church by the Word of God. Therefore, that--they just can't say that, "I think this man would be a right man." That isn't it. "Brother Neville thinks this man would be a right man," or "the trustee board thinks this man would be a right man," it has to be by the church. No one does anything within himself here. It's the vote of the church. It's a sovereign church.

THE.PLACING.OF.DEACONS:58-0720E: Par 355-14

By the grace of God, it has been said to me, and a one hundred percent vote through the board of this church, that they have found that Brother Hollin Hickerson to be a just, honorable man, and in line in this position to receive the--the great honor of being deacon of this said Tabernacle… And also the church has found in favor, that Brother Tony Zabel, an honorable and just man, and he's been favored before the trustee board and the pastors, to ask him to receive the office of deacon in this said Tabernacle… That the church has found favor with him, or the board and pastor, that he would accept the--the great office as being the deacon of this said Tabernacle.”

THE.PLACING.OF.DEACONS:58-0720E: Par 356-21 Amen. I would at this time ask these brethren who has been called, if they would just walk forward here to the platform just a moment. And as we bow our heads just a moment for prayer, I want them... And the church knows what this is, that this is electing your deacon board and your treasurer…God, honor these men. And now it is the choice, Lord, as a sovereign church, as the body of the Lord Jesus, that they do the electing. And [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.]... and will direct this portion of the service in a special way, in that righteous and holy Name of Jesus.

THE.PLACING.OF.DEACONS:58-0720E: Par 357-25 Now with our heads bowed, not only our heads but our hearts, and as every member of this church, that comes here regular and supports it with your tithe and offerings, which is considered a member of this church... While, the pastor and I, alone, the--the associate pastor, Brother Neville, and I look on, I would ask if this church finds Brother Taylor to be a just man and eligible, by the best of your thinking to be deacon over this group of people, you will signify the same by raising your hand. [Brother Branham pauses--Ed.] All right. Now if there is any contrary, would you raise your hand. [Brother Branham pauses--Ed.] Thank you.

THE.PLACING.OF.DEACONS:58-0720E: Par 358-30 I wish to say to the--the brethren who are standing at this present time, at the foot of this cross, that this church, with one hundred percent (no contrary at all), finds you all worthy in the sight of God for this office that God has called you. Now, you have said, "Let these first be tried, and see if they desire this office." Within a few weeks, God willing, I will return back to lay hands upon this group of men to make them the official trust--or the deacons of this church, and treasurer. Let us bow our heads just a moment:

1 Tim 3:10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

1 Tim 3:10 [Amp] First, a person must be evaluated. Then, if he has a good reputation, he may become a deacon.
