Restart NSW Regional Local Government and NGO Projects 3

Restart NSW is the NSW Government’s dedicated infrastructure fund. The fund was established in 2011 to improve the economic growth and productivity of the State.

Infrastructure NSW has sole responsibility under the Restart NSW Fund Act for making recommendations to the NSW Government for use of the funds.

Restart NSW funds are used for major projects that will improve the productivity and competitiveness of the State across all sectors.

Restart NSW funds also support local government and NGO infrastructure in regional areas. This document reports on the projects funded under the Regional Local Government and NGO Programs.

Thirty per cent of Restart NSW funds are committed to projects in regional NSW (outside Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong). This includes an allocation of three per cent to the Resources for Regions program, to address infrastructure constraints in communities affected by mining.

There are currently 354 regional local government and NGO projects which have received funding under Restart NSW since the first program was announced in 2012. The Restart NSW regional local government and NGO projects have a total project budget of 839.5 million, including:
