Profession of Faith: (Nicene Creed)

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation, he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

HEALING TOUCH CLINIC

LOC OFFICE CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY

All are welcome to join us for a free movie and hot dogs on the first Friday of each month. This Friday, September 6th at 6:00 pm in the Fireside Room we’ll be watching The Wife starring Glenn Close, Jonathan Pryce and Christian Slater. The story follows a woman who questions her life choices as she travels to Stockholm with her narcissistic husband. For more information please contact Pete Conti or call the church Office.

KING SOOPERS CARD UPDATE

FRIDAY MORNING PRAYER

Recently, King Soopers changed the internal process for funding their Community Rewards Program. Previously our church members were helping fund our LOC annual

budget every time they used their King Soopers Gift Card. This is no longer the case. GOOD NEWS! If you shop at King Soopers and want to be sure that your purchases continue to provide a financial benefit to LOC, let me know and I will provide all the necessary setup to make that happen. Call me, Mark Stenson, and leave a message if I don’t answer. I’ll get back with you and work out all the details.

Ever felt that way? Caring communication with others is a basic human need. Stephen Ministers can help meet that need. For a listening ear, contact the Church Office at 303/772-3785 or call Chuck Cooper.

SPECIAL THANKS FROM OUTREACH

The Church Office will be closed on Monday, September 2nd to celebrate Labor Day. We will be back in the office Tuesday, September 3rd. As always we may be reached in the case of a pastoral emergency by calling 720/378-3590.

HEALING TOUCH SESSIONS are offered by North Front Range Healing Touch practitioners every first Thursday of the month in the Sanctuary at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. There will be a clinic Thursday, September 5th. One-hour sessions are open to the public; appointments are available at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Suggested donation is $20. For information and to schedule an appointment call Nicole Kasemir at BL.

All are welcome to join us Friday morning, September 13th for Morning Prayer. Everyone is invited to meet in the Light of Christ office to pray for our world, to pray for

each other, to pray for all those who need our prayer. We plan to start at 6:30am, and be done by 7:00am. No experience required! Just come with an openness of heart and mind and spirit. If you have questions, please talk to Fr. Teri in the Church Office.

Do you own a business and want more exposure? We have several spaces

available for you to place your business card-sized ad on the back of these weekly bulletins! Call the Church Office at 303/772-3785 for more details.
