Responsible Business India Logo Competition
We at the IICA GIZ Business Responsibility Initiative are
delighted to open a call for
designing a logo on Responsible Business India.
ABOUTUS:
The IICA-GIZ Business Responsibility Initiative (project name)
is a bilateral co-operation
project between the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs
(IICA), the think tank and
capacity development institution set up by the Ministry of
Corporate Affairs (MCA), and
the Deutsche Gesellschaft fr Internationale Zusammenarbeit
(GIZ), the federally owned
German international cooperation agency for sustainable
development with worldwide
operations.
The Project began in 2008 with the objective of developing a
country specific common
understanding of Business Responsibility (BR), and to promote
widespread adoption of
responsible practices by companies. The National Voluntary
Guidelines on Social,
Environmental and Economic Responsibilities of Businesses (NVGs)
released by Ministry
of Corporate Affairs on July 8, 2011 reflect that consensus on
responsible business.
Responsible Business is the commitment of an enterprise to
operate in an economically,
socially and environmentally sustainable manner while balancing
the interests of diverse
stakeholders. The NVGs articulated in the form of nine guiding
principles are premised
on this very philosophy. These nine principle Guidelines offer a
unique Indian approach
to companies to adopt sustainability in their core businesses.
The principles address the
triple bottom-line (TBL) of functioning that is people, planet
and profit. The success of
our project is reflected in the NVGs being mandated by SEBI for
top 100 Indiancompanies.
BRANDIDENITTYFORRESPONSIBLEBUSINESSINDIA
It is in this regard that the project seeks a strong brand
identity in the form of a logo by
the name of Responsible Business India. The logo will be used on
all our offline and
online platforms namely the Responsible Business India portal,
social media sites,
events, and literature. The identity will help us affirm our
project mandate that is for
businesses to be sustainable it must be conscious and committed
towards its social,
economic and environmental responsibilities.
SHORTLISTINGPROCESS
Entries received till the 15th
of September will go through round one of screening, done
by the project secretariat. The shortlisted designs will then be
reviewed by the esteemed
jurists and a winner will be declared.
The winner is awarded a cash prize of 50,000 INR in addition to
a certificate by the
Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. Jurists comments will
also be mentioned in the
certificate.

COPYRIGHT
By submitting entries to the competition, logo authors agree
that should they win the
competition, they will transfer all the rights of the winning
logo to Indian Institute of
Corporate Affairs.
