The EU stands with the Syrian people and is working to sup-port a genuine political transition. This includes:

• Support for a UN-facilitated Syrian-led and Syrian-owned political solution to the conflict

• Support for the prosecution of persons responsible for crimes under International Law

• Helping to find justice for the families of the missing and the detained

• EU funding for reconstruction is linked to an inclusive Syrian-led political settlement

The EU creates perspectives for Syrians:

• Support to youth/women empowerment and livelihoods • Support to civil society, human rights defenders, transitional

justice, accountability and community dialogue• Agriculture and food security• Non-formal education and healthcare

The EU responds to the most urgent life-saving needs with:

• Emergency health services, including trauma aid and child health

• Access to safe drinking water, sanitation and food

• Protection of vulnerable groups, including women and children

• Education in emergencies

• Demining and risk awareness projects
