RESOLUTION NUMBER 94-30U RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR NON-PROPRIETARY DEPARTNIENTS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas County, Florida is empowered to set fees relating to the provision of services provided by Non-Proprietary Departments; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, through Pinellas County Ordinance #92-15 is authorized to establish fees and charges related to licensing, adoption, impoundment, and service fees for animals; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Chapter 261 64, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1949, as amended by Chapter 57-1 730, Laws of Florida, Special Act of 1957, to fix and prescribe permit and inspection fees for building, electrical and other permits as deemed necessary; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioner is en- powered by Ordinance #82-38 and #90-85 to establish fees and charges relatiqg to charitable and professional solicitations; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is ernpowered by Ordinance #90-65 and #91-8 to establish a fee to cover the administrative costs associated with adult use permits; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Ordinance #94-42 to establish a non-refundable application fee and an annual license fee for conducting Bingo or leasing premises for Bingo use; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Chapter 240.505, Florida Statutes, to establish a fee schedule for chemical testing services provided by the Co-op Extension Program; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Chapter 261.64, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1949, as amended by Chapter 57-1 730, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1957, local ordinance #78-23, and Ordinance #76-16 to fix and prescribe permit and inspection fees for lot clearing, grubbing, tree removal and other permits as deemed necessary; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Ordinance #93-93 to establish application fees for the purpose of permitting and regulating established and proposed solid waste management facilities; and

the sale and handling of licenses. Revenues generated by the licensure of non-sterilized animals may be utilized to fund a SpayINeuter Rebate Program. Accordingly, pet owners may receive a $20.00 rebate for each sterilization performed by a licensed veterinarian within Pinellas County.

1 .) General Notes Where the valuation does not exceed $500.00, no permit shall be required unless an inspection is necessary, in which case there shall be a minimum fee of $25.00. Exception: No permit is required for uncovered flat slabs of no greater than 50 sq. ft., for work of a strictly cosmetic nature (painting, wallpapering, carpeting, kitchen cabinets, etc.), or roof work less than $500 in value.

Plan Review (Charges on original plan review, revisions, and interiors). Additional review fees may be charged to plans that require a third review for the same previously noted deficiency within any pertinent divisions. Can be charged per division for subsequent review on a percentage basis.

The schedule of SWFWMD fees is available within the Department of Public Works. There wil l be l imited exceptions t o the fee schedule. Resubmittal after final agency action wil l require a new fee. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, acting as the Pinellas County Water & Navigation Control Authority, is empowered by Ordinances #90-19 and #90-64 t o fix and prescribe permit and inspection fees for water and navigation control purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Ordinance #74-9 t o establish a fee for the use of camp-ground facilities; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Chapter 261.64, Laws of Florida. Special Acts of 1949, as amended by Chapter 57-1 7.30. Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1957, and converted into Ordinance by Chapter 78-596, Laws of Florida, t o fix and prescribe permit and inspection fees for the administration and enforcement of i ts zoning regulations; and

WHEREAS. the Board of County Commissioners is empowered by Section 8 of Chapter 261 53. Laws of Florida, Special 1949, as amended by Chapter 57-1 738. Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1959. to prescribe fees to cover the costs of examination and process of maps or plats submitted for approval; and
