Sleep well. If you suffer from acute cardiac or pulmonary disease, please
abstain from this trip. Don’t consume liquor. On the day before the trip, consume ample amounts of foods
high in carbohydrates such as guava paste, hot chocolate, etc. Bring hydrating beverages, fruit, chocolate bars, gum, and
salted peanuts. Bring dark sunglasses with UV protection. Take comfortable waterproof mid-cut boots with rubber soles. Before leaving, apply sunscreen. Bring gloves, headcovering (such as a cap or hat), and a
jacket to put on when arriving at the park. Don’t put the cold-weather gear on before arrival so that you your body will have time to acclimatize.
Take a waterproof poncho in case of precipitation. Also take a bathing suit, towel, and clothes when you go to the hot springs.

Day Tour - Nevado Santa Isabel - Description
During the tour, you can see the fauna and flora of the area. Part of the tour is done hiking. We arrive by car to about 4,400 meters above sea level, and from there, we continue on foot until we reach 4,800 meters above sea level where we reach the glacier.
The road is 90% unpaved, and vehicles must be 4x4, Jeeps, or modified, all-terrain chivas (colorful buses) for large groups.

Day Trip – Coffee Growers Circuit - Description
Leaving Manizales, we give you a brief description of our destination, the town of Chinchiná which is where the coffee plantation is located.
At the hacienda, we start the tour where we are going to learn from the coffee growers themselves about the processes of planting, the coffee bean harvest, the characteristics of the actual coffee beans, the associated processes, and the final product.
We will have the opportunity to enjoy the coffee growing areas associated with the plantation and to see the different fauna endemic to the area.
Our hosts will give us lessons to learn about the nuances of coffee, its roasting methods, and a taste testing of the product.

While we travel from Manizales to Chinchiná, we provide a quick overview of this town where the coffee plantation is located. Upon arrival at the hacienda, we will learn from the coffee growers themselves the process of planting, crop maintenance, features, associated processes and final production of the coffee beans.
A guided tour is provided to teach you to recognize the nuances of coffee beans, the roasting process, and the cupping of the final product.
The tour ends with a relaxing lunch at the plantation.
