In Foundations of Healing Touch (Course 1), you will be able to Explore qualities and self‐care needs of a Healing Touch
Practitioner
Discuss the facets of Healing Touch and correlate techniques
that support physical mental emotional and/or spiritual healing
Demonstrate Healing Presence: the ability to remain grounded,
present and heart‐centered
Describe personal perceptions of subtle energy/heart‐centeredness.
Apply the Healing Touch framework to a variety of energy interventions
Evaluate the seven energy centers (chakras) and related
energy layers that surround the body
Describe rationale with use of specific Healing Touch techniques
Discuss the Healing Beyond Borders Code of Ethics,
Standards of Practice and Scope of Practice required of a
beginning Healing Touch student
In Energetic Patterning and Clinical Applications (Course 2), you will be able to Demonstrate the ability to remain grounded, present and heart-centered
while working in the energy field
Conduct an intake interview with a plan toward intervention
Recognize that one’s previous experiences may have an impact on one’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health
Assess the status of the chakras and biofield
Document the process of re-patterning and balancing a patient’s biofield.
Apply techniques that support the health and comfort of the back
Describe how the Healing Beyond Borders Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and Scope of Practice relate to their developing as a Healing Touch practitioner
Class Information Requirement for class completion and CE credit: Participate in entire
class with supervision, practice with instructor feedback and completion of course evaluation
Nursing: Course 1- 18 contact hours / Course 2 - 17.5 contact hours NCBTMB: 18 contact hours / Course 2 - 17.5 contact hours CA Board Registered Nursing: 18 contact hours /Course 2 - 17.5 contact hours
Schedule for both classes: Saturday, March16, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (You will only register and participate in one course)

Instructors: Course 1: Geraldine Kerns Hartmayer, RN, CHTP, CHTI, HN, is a
Certified Healing Touch practitioner and instructor, Reiki master teacher and a certified electro-therapeutic point stimulation therapist. Ms. Hartmayer has 40 years of nursing experience in a wide variety of settings and has taught Healing Touch and energy medicine in the Netherlands, Switzerland and India. She is a graduate of Rosalyn Bruyere’s Crucible Program while continuing to study Native American and indigenous cultures. Ms. Hartmayer has a private holistic, biofield nursing practice in Newburgh, Indiana, providing compassionate care to individuals and families.
Course 2: Bonnie Johnson, MS, RN, CHTI, is a Certified Healing Touch
practitioner and instructor and a certified holistic nurse and child development specialist, with over 40 years of experience in nursing, counseling and educating adults and children. She has a holistic nursing practice in Nashville, Tennessee, in which she teaches the art of self-care and self-healing to individual clients and their families, holistic nursing to nurses, and Healing Touch to health care professionals and lay persons.
