Background(1st paragraph)

1. Introduction

Kingston Institute of Business Studies (KIBS) is part of the Kingston Education Foundation, which includes

Kingston University of International Studies (KUIS) and other private schools across Japan. With nearly 1,700 students and over 150 teachers from many different countries, KIBS is the largest business college in Japan and is well renowned for its business English programs.

Why did you want to know the answer?

(2nd paragraph)

Like many business schools in Japan, KIBS has a dress code for its teachers. Male teachers must wear a suit at all times, except during the Cool Biz period from June 1 to September 30. KIBS management believes wearing a suit presents a professional image for its teachers to its students. Recently, however, many of the male teachers have questioned why it is necessary for them to wear suits while teaching on the Business Communication Program (BCP), as there are no rules regarding suits for teachers at KUIS who teach similar courses.

The purpose of your report(3rd paragraph)

The purpose of this report is to find out whether KIBS students feel it is important for male teachers to wear suits while teaching BCP classes.
