Give your own definition of research.

Research is the systematic method of gathering, filtering and analysing data to solve a

particle problem. This discipline of Science requires careful, critical and extensive approach

in order to arrive with a precise and accurate conclusion.

2. Why is research important?The main relevance of research is probably to solve a particular problem. In ones research,

we proposed a topic or a subject, study it and gather information in order to arrive with a

conclusion. This conclusion contains the solution to a problem.

More often than not, researches usually have problems. If something is already known,

complete with facts and accurate data, then theres nothing to contest about it anymore. Thus,

the necessity to research about it is lesser.

In some cases, research is done to find answers in things one has partial knowledge with.

Sometimes, to improve or develop something that currently exists or to create something that

does not exist yet.

During the early ages however, researches or studies are done mainly to satisfy peoples

curiosity in things in nature. In an in depth point, researchers are actually done for thecontentment of the researcher and to have better understanding of a particular topic.

3. Enumerate and explain briefly the five major steps in preparing a research paper.a) Identifying the problem

In every mission there must be a goal. Likewise, in every research, there is also a

particular problem or topic where the entire study will revolve. The significance of

identifying the problem is to keep the researchers on the right track and to avoid

squirrelling to other immaterial data.

b) Gathering DataData will be the basis of the study. It will be like the clues in a puzzle that will keep

the researchers going. Gathering the right data is a mustfor it has to be the precise

and accurate ones. Alongside, data must come from legitimate references and

properly credited to avoid plagiarism.

c) ExperimentationThis part does not really require putting two chemicals and wait for a reaction. This

part is putting every piece of a puzzle in its right place in order to picture out a valid

answer.

d) AnalysisThis part is where we actually find the meaning of the puzzle and translate it in order

to fit a logical answer for our problem. This is also the part where researches find out

if their studies are successful or not, depending on the result that they will get.

e) SummaryIt will contain the conclusion of the studya brief explanation on the projects result,

if it was a success or not, and the recommendation.
