GNSS receiver technologies for Premium and General mass market
Description:- Development, integration, testing and demonstration of HW/SW components, filling technology
gaps and leveraging Galileo differentiators for two areas:
Submit your proposals by: EU funding (70% co-funding):- 12 July 2018 € 6.000.000
1. Premium Mass Market GNSS 2. Internet of Things (IoT) or other General Mass Market applications
Upper segment of mass market applications :- Higher performances than the ones achievable by
products such as trackers or step counters but less stringent than the professional ones such as GIS receivers
Examples: - semi-professional applications (GIS on
smartphones); - apps to assist visually or physically impaired
(eHealth); - higher-end devices for
trekking/geocaching/paragliding- tracking of high value goods and people
Low end part of mass market applications: - Mainly cost-driven - Energy consumption and physical size are key
drivers.
Examples:- Internet of Things applications- Low value objects and persons geo-fencing
and tracking (with low accuracy requirements)
- Smart lightning- Bike sharing, etc.
