bringing the standards to teachers (Revisit Guskey’s Critical Questions).
• Identify points to embed into PD plans.• Reflect on our role as Change Leaders.
Exploration
• Review notes and identify recommended online resources from your content session.
• Align resources with standards and objectives from Day 1.
• Use the Resource Alignment Chart to note your findings.
• Post Charts.
Share Alignment Workand Tools
• Present findings.• How will you communicate and make
available these aligned resources for use in your district/Charter?
• Share examples of pacing guides, curriculum calendars, progress reports and other tools.
Turn and Talk Triads
• How does our PD Plan ensure that each teacher is effectively prepared to deliver the standards? Be specific.
PD Plans:Analysis And Evaluation
• Count off 1-5. Join your group in a area of the room.
• Read the article.– 1’s Focus on Level 1.– 2’s Focus on Level 2.– 3’s Focus on Level 3.– 4’s Focus on Level 4.– 5’s Focus on Level 5.
PD Plan Analysis
• Review PD Plans from other districts• Use rubric/critical questions and
Comprehensive Implementation Plan Checklist to evaluate and analyze current PD Plans from other districts/charters
Professional Development Timelines
• Review your PD plan and timeline.• Align events/tasks from Stoplight Sort to
your timeline.• Are adjustments needed? Write in events
or tasks that are missing from your timeline.
