JUDICIAL COUNCIL OF THE SECOND CIRCUIT RES 0 L UTI 0 N At the request of the District Judges of the District of Connecticut and pursuant to the provisions of 28 U.S.C. §§ 134 and 462 (b) the Council resolves as follows: The public interest and the nature of the business of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut require that the judge to be appointed to fill the seat to be vacated by Judge Janet Bond Arterton of New Haven shall maintain his or her abode in the District of Connecticut and that it is necessary for this unnamed nominee to occupy chambers and a courtroom at the Brien McMahon United States Courthouse in Bridgeport, Connecticut . The JUdicial Council is advised by the District of Connecticut that Janet Bond Arterton of New Haven, Connecticut has indicated she intends to retire and assume senior status pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 371 this July 2014. The Judicial Co uncil is aware there exists as yet no nominee for the New Haven seat to be vacated by Judge Arterton and that chambers and a courtroom are available in the Brien McMahon United States Courthouse in Bridgeport, Connecticut to be occupied by this unnamed nominee. JUDICIAL COUNCIL OF THE SECOND CIRCUIT

RES 0 L UTI 0 N

At the request of the District Judges of the District of

Connecticut and pursuant to the provisions of 28 U.S.C. §§ 134

and 462 (b) the Council resolves as follows:

The public interest and the nature of the business of the

United States District Court for the District of Connecticut

require that the judge to be appointed to fill the seat to be

vacated by Judge Janet Bond Arterton of New Haven shall maintain

his or her abode in the District of Connecticut and that it is

courtroom at the Brien McMahon United States Courthouse in

Bridgeport, Connecticut .

The Council now decides that the unnamed nominee for the New

Haven seat to be vacated by Judge Arterton, when confirmed, shall

maintain his or her abode in the District of Connecticut and

occupy chambers and a courtroom in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where

a chambers and courtroom will be available in the Brien McMahon

United States Courthouse.

This Resolution shall be subject to modification.
