Configuration: Looking from outside, X is vent
panel; O is fixed panel. The following details represent most but not all configurations:
Glass Size: All panels to have the same-sized glass, except for select configs such as XOX with wide middle panel and service windows with autoclosers. For IG glass, we restrict the size of the glass to 30 square feet. Please contact your glass manufacturer for their recommendationfor the glass makeup. For 3/4” IG, the glass should 3/16” with a 3/8” spacer. If windows are to be installed above our doors it is critical that the verticals of the Metal-Craft door align with the verticals of the window.

Standard Exterior Sill
1/2” Flat Sill w/o Ramps
Sill: Flat sills are primarily used for interior transaction windows and doors. The flat sill does not have a screen rail. If the flat sill is to be used for an exterior application, it is recommended that the customer use a sill pan. Metall-Craft can cut drain channel and drill weep holes in sill.

Glazing: Metal-Craft has a rail system for monolithic 3/16” or ¼” thick glass and a rail system for ⅝” or ¾” IG.
Check with glass supplier for recommendation for IG thickness. ⅜” polygal or Lexan can be used in monolithic
rails without glazing vinyl. If special glass is required, Metal-Craft can glaze and assemble with customer’s
glass. Some of the glazing options are:

Frame Size: The customer must determine the deduct from the rough opening to make the frame dimensions. Typically, for a replacement door with square framing, the deduct is 1/2” from the width and 3/8” from the height. Typically for a service window, the deduct would be 1/4” from the width and 1/4” from,the height.

Screen: Screens can be assembled for local pickup or sent as a kd-kit. For most of the screens assembled at Metal-Craft, aluminum wiring is installed. However, Metal-Craft can install clear or charcoal fiberglass, pet-proof or super-screen. The kd-kit includes everything except the screen material.

Keylock: Keylocks can be keyed-alike or keyed-differently. Keylocks are 7 pin Schlage locks and cannot be keyed to a master key.
