ArtFolk Cyber-Mart® A Legacy of Blessed Hands
1/16/2014 2
About usWe market products on line for the many artisans who never seem to get around to providing fair representation for themselves or their crafts. We tell their story and offer their products through an E-catalogue and websites, namely ArtFolk Cyber-Mart ®Our philosophyWe focus on the artist rather than products. The most unique thing about the products in ArtFolk Cyber-Mart© is the artists who are behind the products. People like to do business with people they know and like. The first thing a person has to sell is himself. So first of all, Artfolk acquaints you with the artist. We feature American handmade products. There will be some items represented in our E-catalogue that are not American or handmade; but our goal is to locate as many “down home” artists and products as possible. Yesterday, for example, a man and his wife came into our Imax shop who are makers of natural furniture. They live in a log cabin they built themselves. We will be visiting their shop soon and will consider them to be potential new additions to ArtFolk Cyber-Mart®.All of our artisans and their crafts are evaluated by a team of experts who consider both the quality of the products and the character of the person making them. But more than that, we provide help for those who are committed to excellence.Outsourcing, networking, and drop shipping, imperative today. The retail world is changing at exponential rates of speed. The average American craftsman has to keep pace with modern business practices. ArtFolk offers the advantages the small artist would not have without networking. It wasn’t until twenty-three years ago (1991) the inner-net received its first license to do commerce on line. Soon, companies like Amazon will be making home deliveries with drones. China came to places like Branson with sweat labor prices before the average small business knew what happened. Now, we drive by empty buildings and mall booths as the UPS and FedEx delivery trucks deliver the goods that people once would have gone to those buildings to get those products

The legend of Lonnie Hoppers
Lonnie Hoppers first played with Bill Monroe in 1957, filling in for Joe Stuart on a show in his home state of Missouri. He joined the band full-time in late September of 1962 and stayed until early the next year. He recorded on 12 tracks while with Bill, including the instrumental "Big Sandy River".
Before and After: After leaving the Blue Grass Boys, Hoppers returned to Missouri and played music part-time, playing off and on with Dan Crary. From 1978 to 1986 he played at Silver Dollar City theme park in Branson, MO. In the 90s he and Crary reunited and recorded an album, "Crary and Hoppers and Their American Band", released in 2000. He currently leads Lonnie Hoppers and New Union.
