Our services reach to Albury-Wodonga in the north, Mallacoota in East Gippsland, the Wimmera region in the west, and across Tasmania. Uniting is the community services organisation of the Uniting Church. We’ve been supporting people and families for over 100 years. We are 7000 skilled, passionate and creative people providing over 770 programs and services. We empower children, young people and families to learn and thrive. We’re there for people experiencing homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction or mental illness. We support people with disability to live the life they choose. This position will contribute to the development, coordination, promotion, implementation and evaluation of various identified organisational development initiatives and programs including workforce analytics reporting. These initiatives are in the areas of attraction, development and engagement of workforce (employees and volunteers) and organisational culture change strategies across Uniting. Position purposeThe Organisational Development (OD) Consultant will assist in the implementation of the endorsed Uniting’s Organisation Development Plan. This position will contribute to the development, coordination, promotion, implementation and evaluation of various identified organisational development initiatives and programs including workforce analytics reporting. Position descriptionOrganisation Development Consultant

Undertake high-level research through analysis of peer-reviewed literature enabling objective and evidence-based development, delivery and evaluation of OD deliverables and training programs.

Identify and use relevant instruments and tools to identify needs and/or to develop and evaluate programs and strategies.

Facilitate focus groups, interviews and surveys following the required ethical research methodologies to collect data and undertake other diagnostic processes.

Analyse complex data from various sources including from spreadsheets, HRIS and prepare reports with key findings and recommendations.

Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in training and organisational development and develop and trial innovative models and practices to ensure the most effective use of available resources and to deliver customer focused, contemporary and comprehensive OD services.

Work closely with the P&C business partners to embed new HR processes into day-to-day service practice, consult with key stakeholders across the organisation to determine individual and organisational learning needs and improvement areas and organise relevant interventions to build capability and culture.

Participate in the development of policies and procedures and prepare related toolkits and education packages and deliver communication and training for its successful take-up.

Partner with internal communications team and subject matter experts within Uniting and liaise with external training providers and consultants to achieve desired outcomes.

Provide responsive and high quality service delivery, efficiently handling interactions including face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries.

Develop submissions in response to external funding opportunities that support people development, engagement and /or training opportunities.

Maintain Learning & Development and OD systems and databases and produce regular progress reports, as required.

Effectively manage and continuously improve systems, processes, correspondence and training resources to provide high quality outcomes.

Undertake other related tasks, as required by the Senior Manager, Organisational Development.

Position descriptionOrganisation Development Consultant

Attend mandatory training sessions (i.e. equal employment opportunity, health and safety) and mandatory training specific to position.

Person specificationQualifications Tertiary qualification in Human Resources/ Organisational

Development/ Organisational Psychology or in a related discipline. Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or will undertake in

the first six months of employment. Understanding of community services industry (preferred but not

essential)

Experience Designing, delivery and evaluation of organisation development initiatives including up-front training programs and information sessions.

independently within deadlines with a minimum of supervision, detail to accuracy, speed, and quality of layout

Ability to work as a team member and liaise effectively in a matrix structure effectively relating to staff at all levels

Committed and enthusiastic to provide excellent client service and results oriented, with a passion to ‘make a difference'.
