    The main character is put forward to the frame- shows he is the most dominant, and has

    power and authority.

    Facial expression looks towards the camera- creates an enigma- the audience know

    something will most likely to happen, but the characters do not.

    The two females are put behind the frame- shows that the males are more protective, or it

    makes the females look inferior to the males.

    The long coat on the character that is put forward in the frame connotes a business like

    character and also a bit of class.

    The camera angle is a low angle shot, connotations of superiority.

    Background image used is an image of an eye that looks a moon, connotations of being

    watched which automatically creates an enigma because its put behind the main characters.

    The colours are hazy browns and greens which creates a bit of suspension and mystery, to

    keep the audience hooked.

    The stereotypes used:

    Females shown in the background- weak, need male company, creates a sex appeal to males,

    Males shown in the foreground- strong, superior, protective of females.

    Main character is directly underneath the eye- connotations of mystery and suspense.

    Body language and facial expressions look somewhat frightened- creates an enigma.

    Text written in white- stands out, connotations of innocence, yet the costumes have

    connotations of evil.

    mix of ethnicity backgrounds and origins.

    Female character on the right is portrayed sexually, the

    costume gives the audience connotations of authority but

    portrayed negatively. Put behind the frame- inferior to the

    males. The males are put forward to the frame- shows

    protectiveness and also authority.

    The body language suggests that they are professional

    and business like, yet they wont take any nonsense.

    The characters look towards the camera- creates an

    enigma as the audience knows something that thecharacters do not.

    The costume suggests that they are in the in the past-

    70s- clothing has connotations of a business feel in the

    70s and what would be classed as smart at the time.

    Doesnt represent the different ethnics groups and

    origins- connotes that ethnic groups werent fairly

    represented in the past.

    Long shot to show the characters so they are easily

    identifiable.

    The cross is used to show that religion is mostly

    important back in the 70s- producers want to

    communicate this through the use of text and image.
