Day: Sunday. Date: 21-Nov-2010.Mapping a Longitudinal Section of StreetTools:
1) The level.2) Staff2) Measuring Tape.
Methodology:1. Marking the points on the street as we need to mapping a longitudinal section .2. We work to setting up the level in the suitable place where we can see many points. 3. We adjust the horizontality of the level.
4. Take the read staff held vertically on the first point back sight (BS). 5. Take the staff reading held vertically at points we can see of the level intermediate sight (IS). 6. When we cannot see the other point ,we consider the last point of intermediate sight (IS) to be foresight (FS). 7.We move the level to the place where we can see other point, and adjust the horizontality of the level again. 8. Take the staff reading on the first point after moving the level back sight (BS).9. Take the staff reading of other point Intermediate Sight (I S) .
10. Take the staff reading of the end point foresight (FS).Calculation:NotesDistance

Rise & Fall Check :1) Number of BS reading = Number of FS reading = 2. OK.2) BS - FS = Elevation of last point Elevation of first point = Rise - Fall BS - FS = 2.74 3.85 = - 1.11 m.
Elevation of last point Elevation of first point = 17.89 19 = - 1.11 m.
Rise - Fall = 0 1.11 = - 1.11 m. OK.Result:
Comment:
The experiment too long and take along time .On this experiment we adjust the level easily .
