    REPORT OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE FOR FUND RAISING FOR THEHOSTING OF 2ND MAYA PEOPLE ASSEMBLY, YOLA 2009.

    On 9th August, 2009, at Hon. Wesley I Lehas residence, the Sub-Committee members for Fund Raising for the hosting of 2nd Maya PeopleAssembly, Yola 2009, were inaugurated under the Chairmanship of Mr.

    Kennedy B. Dauda. The Sub-Committee members are to raise anapproximated sum of One Million, Five Hundred and Thirty thousand Naira(N 1, 530, 000, 00) to be spent during hosting of the assembly scheduledto hold on 21st November, 2009 at Mahmud Ribadu Square Auditorium.

    The Sub-Committee Members are as follows:1.Mr. Kennedy B. Dauda Chairman2.Mr. Kefas Bonah Member3.Hon. James N. Okossi 4.Hon. Dennis Kakaba 5.Mrs. Charity Adamu 6.Ms. Christy Artimas 7.Mr. Tennyson James Secretary.

    However, the meeting of the Sub-Committee members was held twice onTuesday, 25th August, 2009 and on 5th September, 2009 respectively.During the meeting fruitful deliberations were made and at the end ofsuccessful deliberations, recommendations/suggestions were adopted onhow to raise the above approximated fund. Subsequently, the followingorganizations, persons and individuals to be contacted for financialassistance shall be the proposed sponsors.

    Letters soliciting assistance shall be written and addressed to thefollowing identified organizations and subsequent individuals, persons andprominent sons and daughters of Maya land. The organizations include:

    The following prominent sons and daughter of Maya land who are politicaloffice holders were identified. And the sum of twenty thousand naira (N20, 000) and above was recommended for them. They include:
