Report of Orientation Cum Fresher’s Party 2016 Department of BBA/BCA Institute of Professional Excellence and Management, Ghaziabad organized an Orientation Programme for the newly admitted BCA/BBA students at the institute premises on 27 th August 2016. Continuing with the proud tradition of the college, senior students and newcomers of the college mingled with each other at the freshers' welcome party held in college auditorium The 27th of August 2016 was marked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher at IPEM Collage, Ghaziabad. The Freshers’ day was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. Mr. Tushar Sharma was the Alumni of batch 2010-2013, came as Alumni experience sharing. In his address to the students, he recalled his student days at IPEM and was all praise for the college and its teaching faculty, he held high regard for the Executive Director of the institution Dr B S Goel. The other guests at the event were the college Executive Director, Dr B S Goel , College Director General Colonel Dr. A S Malhotra and Dean Academics, Dr. Sugandha Goel . The dress code for the Freshers’ day was ‘Dress your Best’. The celebration of Orientation started of sharp at 10.am with the opening prayer of goddess Saraswati with the Lamp Lightening followed by the welcome address, the Freshers were formally welcomed into the IPEM family, the chief guest and the other guest of the day were introduced, after the introduction of the guest, orientation programme was started with the blessings of Honorable Executive Director Dr. B S Goel, while delivering a speech on the occasion, said that it was not the events but the attitude that caused success. One third of what constitutes a person is his genetic inheritance; another one third comes from the kind of upbringing he /she receives and the remaining one third from one’s own self. He also stressed the importance of dedication to one’s profession and the need to have proper planning before taking up and implementing any project. It was a fun filled event at which the freshers got an opportunity not only to showcase their talents and but also to interact with the seniors. Soon after the Orientation the program kick-started with the introduction round and the ramp walk for the contestants of the Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2016. All the participants were well dressed, conforming to the dress code and walked the ramp in their own style. The contest included several rounds involving singing, dancing, talent display, dress parade and the like, which wove the magic of fun and joy in to the event. The participants, who had been selected in the first round had to enter the second round known as ‘60 seconds to fame’, where the participants had to entertain the audience for 60 seconds. Based on their performance in the initial rounds, eight of the seventeen contestants moved in to the elimination rounds. In the last and final “Questionnaire Round”, the contestants had to prove that they were persons with beauty and brains and had the presence of mind and confidence to not only to give the correct answers but also to communicate these properly and effectively. At the end of the very enjoyable competition, Ms. Drishti Singh was crowned as “Miss Fresher 2016”.And Mr. Prashant Sharma was selected as Mr. Fresher from BBA. And Ms. Charu Was crowned as” Miss Fresher 2016”.And Mr. Rupak Thapa was selected as “Mr. Fresher 2016” from BCA. The program concluded with the vote of thanks of HOD BBA/BCA Dr. Isha Chaudhary and finally all the freshers including the senior’s rocked the show and enjoyed the celebrations and all thanked the HOD, staff and seniors students for hosting such a nice program that they could cherish lifelong.
