Here with I am sending you activities done by Team Gujarat under IADVL, GSB during this year. You are requested to include these activities for Annual activity report of IADVL. Thanks .

IADVL-GSB Leprosy Day Awareness in Jan Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) Gujarat State branch observed World Leprosy Day on 30th January, 2017 with an objective to create awareness on myths associated with Leprosy amongst public and to have update on management and rehabilitation methods associated with Leprosy among the dermatologists.

Rajkot

Leprosy awareness rally, the event was graced by DHO (District health officer)…Dr.Mitesh Bhandari, SHO..Dr Parikh, DLO(DISTRICT LEPROSY OFFICER)….Dr Lakkad who also apprised us of the current statistics of leprosy in the state.He also invited IADVL GSB to deliver a talk on the same for awareness in GPs.

The event was well covered by Abtak TV news, Radio and local newspapers.

In this Rally we had more than 150 participants. It included Leprosy workers., nurses ,staff from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Resident Doctors from CIVIL hospital of RAJKOT and not to forget respected dermatologists from Rajkot

2 IADVL-GSB also carried out a Banner campaign in major Govt .hospitals in Gujarat as a part of public outreach program. The aim was to spread awareness about the disease, decrease stigma associated with it and aid in its early diagnosis and treatment..

3 IADVL-GSB spread information about leprosy and its current status tol public through a press release and pamphlets .in Rajkot,Morbi,Junagadh ,etc.

4. Dr.J Sakhiya and Dr.D Patel delivered a Leprosy awareness talk at SPB PHYISOTHERPY

Steroid abuse awareness Program in Rajkot on 28th Jan over 400 students were educated.

VITILIGO Day Awareness

Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL)Gujarat State branch observed VITILIGO Day on25th June , 2017 with an objective to create awareness on myths associated with vitiligo amongst public and to have update on management treatment .

RALLY

In Rajkot We started our day with VITILIGO awareness rally at Race course ground.

Distributed handouts, banners and conducted free camps in Rajkot and all over Gujarat with help of private practioners and medical colleges .

FIRST PGCON WEST ZONE

We are pleased to inform you about the grand success of 1st PGCON (West Zone) 2017 jointly organized by Department of Dermatology, Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College and BJ Medical College under the aegis of IADVL and IADVL GSB at Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmadabad, on 15th and 16th July, 2017.

Review of NAAD (Novel Approach Accessing Dermatology)Date of the Program: 3/09/2017Program Co-ordinators: Dr. Deepak Parikh, Dr. Timir Mehta, Dr. Bhavin Bhatt, Dr. Nayan Patel, Dr. Santosh RathodCME credits: 2 credit points for Delegates and 3 credit points for FacultyParticipating Delegates: 160Faculty: 8 faculties from other super-speciality namely Endocrinology, Oncology, Critical care experts, Nephrologist, Rheumatology and General medicine.Other 12 faculties from field of dermatology.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP in RAJKOT RED CROSS SOCIETY in association with IADVL GSB and Srimad Ram chandra Sev agroup Jointly organized a blood donation camp wherein a bus was arranged at the venue and more than 45 units of blood were collected.Held in Sep at Rajkot.

CME ON PSORIASIS IN AHMEDABAD

The meeting was successfully held at Ahmadabad, in month of October where over 80 delegates attended.
