• Report directly to your assigned area.
• Breakfast is served from 8:15-8:30; it is NOT an excuse to be tardy. (Cost $2.10)
• Late (bus or car rider)? Sign in at the main office & get a pass to class.
• Be seated in your homeroom by 8:35 to avoid a tardy.
• DIRT begins at the beginning of homeroom (E-readers can be used for books only!)
Morning Procedures
1st tardy - recorded by classroom teacher
2nd tardy - warning and recorded by classroom teacher
3rd tardy- teacher phone call home & recorded by the teacher
4th tardy – referral to administrator5th tardy or more: administrator
Tardy Policy
Proper behavior is expected of EVERY student at ALL times.
• Walk & avoid horseplay in the halls and locker area.• Be on time to class with all supplies!• When in the hall during class time, a pass is needed
at all times. The pass must include a time, date, and destination (ex. agenda signed by teacher)
• Do not damage or vandalize the school or other people’s property.
• Cheating is not tolerated & will result in a disciplinary consequence and a parent phone call.
Behavior Expectations
• Endangering the safety of others
• Inappropriate language (cursing, threats, there are NO “just kidding”)
• Defiance and/or disrespect
• Lying and/or Theft
• Cheating
• Bullying/Mistreatment
• Vandalism
• Any action that causes disruption to the learning of others

These are not steps. We may start at any level depending on behavior. We will be a safe, respectful school at all
times.
Dress CodeStudents should be dressed in such a way
that does not cause a disruption or distraction. • Remove hats when inside the building.
• Wear clothing free of inappropriate language or imagery that may include: tobacco, alcohol, drugs or gangs.
• No provocative or tattered clothing to include short shorts/skirts (minimum 3”
inseam), tank tops with thin straps (two finger widths), sagging shorts or pants, and visible undergarments of any kind.
Dress Code UpdatesAll students are expected to dress appropriately for a K-12
educational environment.
Any clothing that interferes with or disrupts the educational environment is unacceptable. Clothing with language or images that are vulgar, lewd, discriminatory, or obscene, or clothing that promotes illegal or violent conduct, the unlawful use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or drug paraphernalia, or clothing that contains threats is prohibited.
Clothing should fit, be neat and clean, and conform to standards of safety, good taste, and decency. Clothing that exposes chest, private parts, the midriff, or undergarments, or that is otherwise provocative, is prohibited. Examples of prohibited clothing include, but are not limited to: sagging or low-cut pants, low-cut necklines that show chest, tube tops, halter tops, backless blouses or blouses with only ties in the back, studded belts, chain belts, clothing constructed of see-through materials, and head coverings unless required for religious or medical purposes.

Parents or guardians of students requiring accommodation for religious beliefs, disabilities, or other good causes should contact the principal.
Students not complying with this code will be asked to cover the noncomplying clothing or change clothes. Repeated infractions will result in disciplinary action.
The principal of each school is authorized to develop and implement such regulations as are
necessary to meet the responsibilities of the school as stated herein.

(quiet)• Students are not permitted to leave Resource
in groups and must have a pass TO and FROM with time, date, and destination.
Cafeteria• Walk to & from the cafeteria and keep
hallway noise at a minimum.• When entering the cafeteria, find your table
or wait in one of the two service lines. Always raise your hand and ask permission to leave your table. Clean up after yourself and ask others at your table to do the same.Eat only your own food! Don’t share….

• Wait to be dismissed by an adult at the end of lunch.
• Keep volume at an acceptable, pleasant level. Do not shout.
• Come prepared to go to recess on weather permitting days (You may not return to your locker for a jacket, etc.). Remember only certain games are permitted during recess.
• Report to class promptly upon return from the cafeteria. No bathroom or lockers after lunch!
Lockers
• Leave your locker secure– Keep your combination confidential.– Don’t jamb your locker – it always needs to be
locked when you walk away.
Birthday decorations– See your dean or counselor for a pass– Limit to two people– Must complete before 8:25 or 3:35Band instruments should be dropped off in the band storage rooms prior to homeroom.

WATER ONLY
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL
ArrivalBuilding opens at 8:00 a.m. to all
students.
• Bus Riders: Drop off in the front bus loop
• Car Riders: Use the “Kiss N’ Go” Route
• Walkers: Crossing guard Dan BRMS cross-walk/speed bump from 8:05am – 8:40am
Dismissal• Walkers: (3:23 dismissal)
– Use designated exit doors based on neighborhood
– Remain on sidewalks– Crossing guard Dan at BRMS
crosswalk/speed bump from 3:20pm-3:55pm
• Bus & Car Riders: (3:29 dismissal)
– Bus riders: Use designated exit door directly to bus loop
– Car Riders: Use Kiss N’ Go doors (band hall doors)
• Leave on the correct bell.
Pack up quickly and exit the building
Bring a note when transportation plans change.
• Drop notes off at house office or give to homeroom teacher.
• See board outside of the house office later in the day to pick up your pass.
Dismissal3:23 – Walkers (including bike riders)
3:28 – Bus Riders & Kiss N’ Go
• Follow the BRMS behavior expectations & driver’s rules.
• . If you do not follow bus rules, you will be given
an assigned seat on the bus or removed from the bus.
Buses
Riding the bus is a privilege. The bus should be treated as a “moving classroom.” The school day
begins at your bus stop & ends when you arrive home.
BUS EXPECTATIONS
• Drugs and Alcohol (includes prescription drugs,
cough drops, mouth wash, etc)• Tobacco items• Hand-held video games • Fireworks • Any item that can shock or hurt someone• Backpacks are not permitted in class• Cell Phones & iPods should be turned off and
stored in locker until the end of the day. • Absolutely no cell phone use during school hours.
• Kindles/Nooks are for reading books only!
Prohibited Items
You may be expelled from all LCPS schools if you possess or use the following:
• Firearms of any kind, whether loaded or unloaded,
operable or inoperable, including starter guns, pellet, Air-soft, BB gun, paint ball gun that uses air pressure, rifles or silencers
• Slingshots and flailing instruments such as nun
chucks or fighting chains
• Disks, such as throwing stars or oriental darts
• Any type of knife or razor
• Destructive devices such as explosives, bombs,
grenades, or rockets
LCPS Weapons Policy
Safe Harbor The following are not a violation of this policy:
The accidental or inadvertent possession of a weapon on school property by such student if the students accidentally or inadvertently brought the weapon onto school property or to a school-sponsored activity (provided the student immediately reports to a staff member and before such weapon is discovered or seen by a teacher, administrator, or other school employee or by another student).

Students will be recognized in an awards ceremony during the day each quarter.

Quarterly, each team will select students on their team to receive different awards for both character & academic achievement.
The recipients of these awards will be honored during an evening grade level assembly.
