giving some questionnaires after explanation about breast and cervical cancer also osteoporosis. And the results are quite
satisfying, many participants answered correctly. Although our MDGs goal to improve maternal health cannot be directly

Project report:
Dear good readers, CIMSA UNS is back with our MDGs project. As a representation to our concern in MDGs point 5,
Improving maternal health, we had a project called CONCHA (Cancer, Osteoporosis, and Nutrition Campaign for Maternal
Health) which is a trans-sco project from SCOME, SCORA, SCOPH, and SCORE CIMSA UNS.
CONCHA has been held on Sunday, October 14th 2012 at Pondok Pesantren Darudz Dzikri Joyontakan, Gading,
Surakarta. Started at 7 a.m. with fun walking from SCOME, more than 60 people -mother mostly- and some of CIMSA UNS
members walked for about 30 minutes to prevent osteoporosis. While we gathered around in the hall of Pondok Pesantren
Darudz Dzikri and the mothers wait for the next session of this event, SCORE members gave them a questionnaire to know
family nutrition status, observed from mothers nutrition knowledge. The quick count result will be used in nutrition
consultation from SCOPH.
CONCHA was officially started at 8 a.m. by the speech of LOCO CIMSA UNS, Rizqi Ahmad. Then the lecture began
from SCOME which presented about Osteoporosis, SCORA presented about Cervix Cancer and Breast Cancer, and
closed with demonstration of SADARI or Self Breast Examination using water balloons. The mothers seemed so interested
with these topics through actively ask and give feedback to the presenter. Knowledge of the mothers was tested by second
questionnaire by SCORE which asked about Cervix Cancer from previous lecture. The result of this questionnaire reported
and published online.
Last session from SCOPH was a closing of CONCHA. SCOPH presented a nutrition consultation with 2 doctors from
Dr. Moewardi Hospital which made the mothers so enthusiast and quickly register to have a chance to ask not only about
nutrition but also about their general health. For the very last, SCOPH gave a free soybean milk to each of them as an
example of a good nutrition.Through CONCHA we hope that we have a contribution to increase maternal health and succeed Indonesia MDGs. See
you at CIMSA UNS next cool projects.
