Company SettingsWhen you customize your Company Settings, you determine if you would like to be notified when your suppliers make a change to a pending order. You can also add comments and determine your preferences for placeholder quotes.

In Configure Default Comments, you can enter text thatyouwouldliketoappearoneveryQuoteRequest,DirectOrder,orOrderthatyouremployeessendthroughPartsTrader.Usingthisfeaturecansavetime,butalsoensure consistency for your company’s transactions. Your employees will still be able to edit this text on an individual quote or order basis, if necessary.

Select “Yes” in the User Training section to require users within your company to view a brief training video on basic actions in PartsTrader beforetheycanperformthesefunctions.Mosttrainingvideosarequitebrief, but if you decide to no longer require this for your employees, you canchangethisto“No.”

Configure Preferences for Placeholder Quotes

Configure Data Import Preferences

Company Settings continued . . .

The PartsTrader Integration Client (PI Client) will automatically import job part data for all State Farm jobs to your Parts Required tab on the main dashboard.

Placeholder Quotes are useful when reviewing and evaluating quotes from potential vendors. If you have negotiated discount levels with specific suppliers, you can view the expected price from these suppliers even if they have not been able to provide a live quote within the Quote Period.

Here, you can Configure Data Import Preferences as follows:• Ifyouwanttohavealljobsreadilyavailablefor

parts sourcing through PartsTrader, select “Yes,” and your jobs related to other insurers will display on the Parts Required dashboard. You will then authorize the import of the job part data by clicking Import Now for the desired jobs.

• Ifyouselect“No,”thejobpartdatacanstillbeimported for parts sourcing through PartsTrader. You will find these jobs hidden on the Ready to Import section of the Parts Required tab.

Manage Placeholder Margins

If you have negotiated discounts that you expect from a supplier, you can enter these discounts in the Placeholder Margins area of your company profile. These margins will be used to display an expected price from these suppliers when they have not provided an actual quote during the allotted quote period.

Click the Add Margins for Dealer button to set default margins for your Preferred Suppliers

1. Select a Supplier from the drop-down menu

2. Enter a default Margin (the discount you expect from this supplier)

3. You can designate a different percentage for Each Make, or set the same value for All Makes

4. Click Add Margin for Dealer to return to the list and verify that the supplier has been added

NOTE: YoucanonlysetPlaceholderMarginsforcompaniesonyourPreferredSupplierlist.Ifyoudon’tsee the supplier you are looking for on the drop-down list, add them to your Preferred Suppliers list.

Preferred SuppliersPartsTrader only invites suppliers to participate in the quoting process if they’ve been nominated by a repair shop that utilizes PartsTrader for parts procurement.

When you want to add a supplier, you can clickAdd as Preferred or Add as Default Dealer

You can see a list of all of your Preferred Suppliers

ReviewtheMakes NOT Covered by Preferred Suppliers to make sure you have all of the makes you expect to repair covered by at least one supplier.

Default DealersYou may have several dealers for a given make as a Preferred Supplier, but this setting allows you to select which dealer is your first primary supplier for certain makes.

Click the radio button next to the dealer that is your first choice for the selected make

How will this be used?The Default Dealer will be identified to your staff when they send requests out for quote. At that time, they will decide whether to send the quote request to:

• OnlytheDefaultDealer• AllofyourPreferredDealersforthatmake• AnyDealerparticipatinginPartsTraderwhosuppliesthatmakeanddeliverstoyourarea

How do suppliers gain access to PartsTrader?PartsTrader only invites suppliers to set up an account after they are nominated by a repair shop. If you selected a supplier during registration (when you first set up your account) or if you add a supplier to your Preferred Supplier list, we check to see if that supplier is already active in PartsTrader. If they’re not, we extend an invitation to them to create an account. When they do so, they are ready to support you with quotes and to accept your orders, and they also can expand their sales by responding to quote requests from other repair shops in their delivery region.
