What’s Next
This summer Renville County 4-H hosted a day camp where kids made a variety of crafts and projects they couldenter into the county fair. This camp helped spark their imaginations to get ideas of projects they could make andenter into the fair. The kids painted, assembled crafts, and made slime and exploding foam to incorporate scienceinto the fun! Day camp is a great opportunity for kids to do some hands-on learning over the summer.
Once a week Renville County 4-H went to the BOLD School during their Summer Rec program to do activitieswith the kids. The kids did robotics, science activities, and dissected owl pellets. This was a great way for kidsto learn while having fun over the summer and to see all that 4-H has to offer!

all.
Plans are to continue the course next year and it will
be evaluated by students and parents. We will be limited to 10 students from 3rd-8th grades.

Fairgrounds Gardens – 2021 The display gardens at the Renville County Fairgrounds are in a recovery stage from Covid 19. Because of restrictions in 2020, gardens were not maintained and 2021 we are trying to recover. Many new plantings and revamping of the gardens are being done. Adding to our maintance, is the drought and hot weather conditions. The fairgrounds also had water problems for a week adding to the problems.
Renville County Master Gardener County Fair Display Booth Master Gardeners are also recovering from Covid 19 and we will have an Educational Display in our fair booth, but no staff will be present at the booth. We will have displays on: Jumping Worms, Palmer Amaranth, Solarization and Children’s Garden in Residence.
Monthly Meetings
We have resumed meeting in person for our monthly meetings and have been meeting for the summer months at the county fairgrounds. Plans for the winter of 2022 are to meet by Zoom because of the unpredictable MN weather.
Live Well Be Well Community Health Fair – Saturday, July 31, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Renville Community Center – Master Gardener Volunteers will have a booth and a representative present.
