General reference letter for Renuka Sharma Dear Sir/Madam,
Renuka Sharma was a student at Kingston Law School (now the School of Law, Social and
Behavioural Sciences) enrolled on a three-year LLB with Business (hons) degree at Kingston
University. I taught her Public Law in the first year. I believe that I got to know her very well. I
am very happy to act as her referee.
Renuka performed consistently well during her studies at Kingston University, and was able to
graduate with a First Class LLB with Business (hons) degree in 2011.
She was extremely well organised and always seemed in control. She demonstrated a maturity
beyond her years, and was a delight to teach. Renuka certainly was among the top 2/3
students (top 2%) of the class. She demonstrated a keenness to learn, provided intelligent and
insightful answers, and asked challenging and thoughtful questions.
I have no hesitation in recommending her to you.
Yours sincerely, Eric Jeanpierre Senior Lecturer in Law School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences Kingston University [email protected]

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Renuka Sharma
Renuka was a student at Kingston University where I was employed as a senior lecturer in law. (Prior to this, I was employed in legal practice for over twenty years). Renuka obtained a first class honours degree in Law with Business in 2011. I knew her from Autumn 2008 onwards as I was her academic tutor. I retired from employment with Kingston University in 2017.
Renuka was an excellent student, very intelligent, and with a set of marks putting her in the top level of students in her year. Besides being her academic tutor, I taught her Law of Contract in her first year. She was very polite and friendly, and created an excellent impression when interviewed. She was enthusiastic and committed in pursuing her chosen career in law. During her university studies she obtained experience in assisting at a law firm in such matters as answering the telephone, looking up cases and making notes on witness statements – an opportunity which only a few dedicated students take up. She also took her position at the University very seriously, being a Course Representative, a committee member for one of the Law School Houses, and taking part in a challenge called the Quest.
I would strongly recommend her for an internship with a law firm.
Yours sincerely,
Raymond Youngs, LLB (Lond), LLM (Lond), PhD (Kingston), Solicitor
