The hydraulic market recognizes that

oil contamination causes 80% of all

mechanical failures in hydraulic systems. Oil

contamination results from the presence of

solid particles such as metal, sand and rubber. These

particles might not only be present in systems in-service

but also in newly built up hydraulic systems.

In the end, oil contamination leads to increased

component wear, maintenance cost and machine

downtime. Flushing causes turbulent flows and thus

can be considered as a useful solution to remove oil

contamination in order to achieve the hydraulic system’s

required oil cleanliness level and to ensure operation.

Doedijns designed a range of electrically driven

hydraulic flushing units capable of flushing and

pressurizing process lines from 1/8” to 3”. Return filter

assemblies are installed for dirt collection. An integrated

Condition Monitoring System is mounted in order to

determine if the required oil cleanliness level is achieved.

Several components are installed to monitor all process

parameters such as temperature, flow and pressure.
