Meet us at the District Heating Trade Fair in Stockholm on 6-8 November.

Sweden is one of the world’s leading nations when it comes to producing, using and developing district heating.

The District Heating Trade Fair in Stockholm is an interna-tional meeting place for leading suppliers, power companies, consultants, and trade organisations. in the fields of district heating, district cooling and combined heat and power. Com-panies and organisations are presenting the latest develop-ments, and free short seminars will be held.

SRE is presenting flue-gas condensation and energy- efficient drying of biofuel using System Renergi. Opcon will be showing Opcon Powerbox, which enables the production of electricity using surplus heat at temperatures as low as 55°C.

Welcome to our stand no. C03:21!

SRE teams up with partner in Finland Svensk Rökgasenergi (SRE) has signed an agreement with Oy Ekström Ab, one of Finland s leading service organisa-tions and distributors of advanced industrial products and systems. Oy Ekström Ab will act as partner and retailer of SRE s systems in Finland. With a strong position in several industrial segments, Oy Ekström Ab has stated its ambition to expand within the energy production and bioenergy sectors in future. The agreement represents a further phase of SRE s international growth. By 2008 the company expects 40 % of its turnover to come from export markets.

”We are noting growing interest in bioenergy throughout Europe. We hope that our new partner will help us expand in Finland, which is currently one of the most developed coun-tries for district heating. We estimate that the Finnish market is around half the size of the Swedish market. The abundance

of forest in Finland means that there are great opportunities for SRE s drying system,” says Opcon s CEO, Rolf Hassel-ström.

”SRE s product system is very interesting and it matches our growth strategy for the bioenergy sector. We consider that System Renergi will be such a competitive concept on the Finnish market that we will be able to finalise contracts for sales as early as next year, even though the normal sales process for a product like this is very long,” says John Klang, CEO of Oy Ekström AB.

The condenser plant that SRE has installed at Lessebo papermill is now in operation, producing energy used to heat process water for the pulpmill. The plant is designed to incorporate System Renergi LTK with a low tem-perature dryer for drying sawdust.

New staffChristoffer Carlsson has joined SRE as our new designer and CAD illustrator. He joins us from plumb-ing consultants USAB. Christoffer speaks

five languages and in addition to his mechanical engineering degree he has studied environmental economics and environmental management. He also has experience of industrial develop-ment in Africa with UNIDO.

Kari Karjalainen is taking over from Christer Höglund as senior project manager at SRE. Kari’s back-ground is in construc-tion, development and

project management in the process industry. His leisure interests are hunt-ing and sport and he is a youth leader for both ice hockey and football teams in Leksand and Rättvik.IF Fotboll.

SRE has received an order worth SEK 5.5 million to equip Åsele power plant with System Renergi flue gas conden-sation. The plant is adding Renergi GK D700 condensers with water treatment to both of its 3.5 MW biofuel boilers. The condenser will be able to treat flue gases generated by burning peat.

Vara Värme AB, a subsidiary of Vara Energi AB, will install System Ren-ergi D700 flue-gas condensation this autumn. The condensation system, with associated water treatment, will be con-nected to two existing bio-boilers with a joint output of 6.5 MW. The extra power generated through condensation will be utilised when the network is extended.

Vattenfall Värme Nord’s district heating plant in Kalix will install a flue-gas condensation plant. SRE has supplied a Renergi GK DK1000 flue-gas condenser with water treatment for the heating plant’s 13 MW boiler.

Arvidsjaurs Energi AB is adding a flue-gas condenser to its new district heating plant at the K4 military base in Norrland. SRE is supplying System Renergi DK1000 with water treatment, designed for boiler outputs up to 10.5 MW.

Nässjö Affärsverk is installing the System Renergi DK1000 condenser plant, including wet precipitator, which will limit particle emissions to a maxi-

mum of 35 mg/nm3. The heating plant operates a 12 MW bio-boiler and the condenser is expected to generate a further 3.8 MW.

Bollnäs Energi is installing a new 3 MW boiler for wet woodchips at its district heating plant in Arbrå. The boiler is being supplied by Järnforsen. SRE is supplying the System Renergi S700 flue-gas condenser, which comprises condenser and water treatment. The condenser cleans gases to a maximum 100mg/nm3 and improves the efficiency and output of the plant by around 30%. Delivery is scheduled for week no. 46.

Ignalina municipality in Lithuania has signed a contract to receive System Renergi D700 for a 6 MW boiler. This deal was reached in co-operation with UAB Axis Industries.

Mälarvärme AB is re-building one of its 5.5 MW boilers at Kungsör for operation with tall oil. SRE’s System Renergi flue-gas condenser cleans the gases and improves operational efficiency. SRE’s assignment includes installing pipes and electricity.
