Our assurance should never be based on speculation but on knowledge.

Assurance is based on the Holy Spirit’s testimony (Rom. 8:16).

How does the Spirit bear witness with our spirit?

What does the Spirit say we must do to be saved and go to heaven?

The Spirit bears witness with our spirit whether or not we can answer yes, to what the Spirit has commanded us to obey.
