There is no way that BTS could be completely replaced by repeater as its coverage is relied on the nearby donor BTS site. However, repeater solution can be fully utilized to cover the areas without high traffic. Thus, the BTS capacity are well shared by nearby repeater sites. Normally, sites for repeater will be targeted and deploying at rural area, highway, island, low intensity residential and industrial area. Various types of repeater shall be carefully selected and recommended, to adapt its suitability respectively and reaching maximum cost saving to operator.
