Smart Industry & Smart Education The REV is the annual conference of the International Association of Online Engineering (IAOE) together with the Global Online Laboratory Consortium (GOLC). REV 2018 is the fifteenth in a series of annual events concerning the fun- damentals, applications and experiences in the field of Remote Engineering, Virtual Instrumentation and related new technologies including »» Internet of Things & Industrial Internet of Things, »» Industry 4.0, »» Cyber Security, »» M2M and Smart Objects. Another objective of the conference is to discuss guidelines and new con- cepts for engineering education in higher and vocational education institu- tions including emerging technologies in learning, MOOCs & MOOLs and Open Resources. REV2018 will offer an exciting technical program as well as networking opportunities. A social program is planned for Saturday 24th. This will enable ample opportunities to learn more about the REV community. Other opportunities to participate Posters / thematic workshops / tutorials / technical sessions, as well as in- teractive demonstrations and exhibitions, may also be proposed. Prospecti- ve organizers of other REV2018 events are encouraged to contact the con- ference chair. It is intended to broadcast all technical sessions via Internet.
