Remembering VukovarA Community EventLike No Other

Join us as we light 1,000 candlesin memory and honour of the victims of Vukovar.

of the production, a sit-down lunch (to be prepared by Klub Slavonija), and a cash bar.

Presented by Damir Plavšić and Damir Markuš (veterans of the HomelandWar that defended Vukovar), this production has been touring around theworld over the last two years, and we are pleased to assist in presenting itin Canada, with presentations in Mississauga, Windsor, Calgary and Vancouver. Through video, live narration, and songs, the production will present to ourcommunity the struggle of Croatians in Vukovar and Croatia during the Homeland War and also educate, in particular, our Croatian youth about thistragic episode in our Croatian history.

The Mayor of Vukovar, Ivan Penava, will also join us for this special event to thank our community for its support over the years, to provide an update on the progress of the water tower restoration project and to share his insights relating to present day Vukovar.
