Reign of Man Print and Play Instructions –
International A4
What you’ll need: A printer, some card stock, a pair of
scissors, (optionally some glue) and… pieces.
Step 1: Gather together sets of 24 color coded icons (different
colors or shapes). These are your
armies. I didn’t include them because using little pieces of
paper for armies is, well, kind of fiddly.
Each player will need exactly 24. This is important because
you’re not meant to have endless
amounts of armies.

In Reign of Man, 2‐5 players are emperors that bale one
another
while managing their empire unl one emerges as the victor who
will
forever rule the world! Each emperor raises and moves armies in
order
to control more empires, or clusters of territories. They will
develop
their society in order to gain special abilies and victory
points. The
moment a player has 3 victory points, they win! The moment you
have
no armies on the board, you are out of play. Will your empire
stand the
test of me?
Starting the GamePlay the enre board for 3‐5 player games. Fold
the mat in half and
play one hemisphere for 2 player games. Shuffle the world event
cards
and place them near the board. Each player takes an empire mat
and
set of icons. Place army icons, black side up, on every
advancement category except
the first in each category. Roll dice to determine who will pick
an empire first. Place an army token onevery territory in your
starng empire, face up to reveal your color. If you place last, you
start with the
command token and take your turn first. Play proceeds clockwise
from the command player.
Gameplay and Turn OrderAt the beginning of each round, the
command player will draw a world event card and put it in the next
available slot, pushing
the played cards to the right. If there is a card in the “this
turn” slot, it takes effect. Then the round begins with the turn of
the
command player. When it gets back to the command player, they
pass the command chit clockwise. That next player is thecommand
player for that turn.
Each turn you’ll take one acon from those unlocked on your
empire mat. Some developments and world events allow you
mulple acons. At rank 1 in all categories, you can either unlock
the next rank in a category of your choosing, raise an army on
a territory you occupy or mobilize armies on a single territory.
