Press button Ctrl+F on your keyboard and browse the ICATDev event by typing “ICATDev2015”. Then select the Submit icon right next to it. Fill in the Title and Abstract fields, then select a suitable Review Topic Group. Submit these information and you will be receiving an email notification on your paper number and how to upload the extended abstract.

BACKGROUND
It is clearly defined by World Economic Forum partners 2009 that to meet the world's needs must simultaneously deliver food security, environmental sustainability and economic opportunity. Goals are set by the Vision, and each area is expected to achieve 20% improvement per decade until 2050. Among factors identified as important determinant, improved agricultural technologies shall be the key ingredients in
. However, promoted technologies, be it produced by research and development entities, or grassroots, should be able to fulfil the needs of present and future generations for its products and services, while ensuring
. The principle to be sought by appropriate technology, as emphasized by Dr. Fritz Schumacher the author of the book “Small is Beautiful – Economics as if people mattered”, as the kind of technology that fits small-scale, grassroots, community-centered-economics. Appropriate technology utilization to achieve sustainability in agricultural development therefore may become a significant vehicle to face the current global challenge, i.e. poverty eradication, an indispensable requirement for sustainable development.
