ATHLETIC/CO-CURRICULAR/EXTRA-CURRICULAR Students must have received
passing grades in a minimum of five one-credit courses or the
equivalent. Ninth grade students must maintain a GPA of a 1.8
Tenth-twelfth grades must maintain a GPA of a 2.0 All requirements

POST-SECONDARY ENROLLMENT OPTIONS Any student interested in the
PSEO Program must circle 000008 on their Course Selection Sheet.
Students must also attend a MANDATORY meeting with their parents
on: February 20, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
Slide 16 SUMMER SCHOOL Summer School registration will be made
available by Mid-March. Check the BHS Website. Slide 17 SUMMER
SCHOOL DATES FIRST SESSION June 4 th June 20 th SECOND SESSION June
23 rd July 11 th (no class on July 3 rd & 4 th ) Summer school
meets from 7:45 a.m. 12:25 p.m. Slide 18 PHYSICAL EDUCATION
EXEMPTION There is a policy that permits students to be exempt from
PE if they participate in a sport, cheerleading, dance, or marching
band. Slide 19 PHYSICAL EDUCATION EXEMPTION Students cannot do a
combination of PE exemption and physical education course. Slide 20
DROPPING A SUBJECT A student may withdraw from a course within the
first two weeks without penalty, providing the students course load
does not fall below five credits for that year. If a course is
dropped after the first two weeks, a grade of a F will be recorded.
Slide 21 SCHEDULE CHANGE POLICY Schedule changes may be considered
for the following reasons: Change necessitated by physical health
of a student Completion of course in Summer School Changes
necessitated by failures Mechanical error changes Subject-level
changes Classroom balancing Slide 22 HONORS COURSES Have Course

COURSE LEVELS Students capable of honors or advanced placement
courses should sign up for these when completing the course
selection sheet. Students can be moved to a lower level course
within the first grading period providing one is available and they
are academically misplaced. Changing placement from regular level
to honors or AP after the beginning of the school year is not an
option as the student has missed too much instruction and/or the
