Introduction In today’s global world, Information Revolution has

brought about multifarious changes to all aspects of

life. Libraries are not exceptional from facing the

various issues and challenges resulting from the change.

The role of the library as the information repository to

students, academicians and society has changed

drastically in line with the technological advancements.

Besides, the Information Revolution has also

tremendously transformed and impacted the world of

management and information service.

Objectives • Create a platform for librarians, information

managers, academicians, students and other

participants to discuss and share ideas on latest

issues and trends, as well as research and

challenges in relation to the role of the Libraries in

managing information.

• To review issues related to information resources,

knowledge, technological advancements and skills

in strategic competencies so as to strengthen the

role of the Library as a huge body that harnesses

information and service to the public.

• To create opportunities for stakeholders to

optimize research contributions in librarianship

and information management fields through

debate, presentation, and sharing sessions.
