Registering and Managing Devices by MAC Address Create a new device

1. Log into the GSW_ResNet network. This can be done on the wired or wireless network. 2. Once logged in, open a web browser and go to https://valet.gsw.edu/guest

3. You will be prompted for a username and password. Enter your credentials here.

4. Once authenticated, you will see the following page where you can add or edit up to four (4)

devices.

5. To add a new device, click Create Device.

Enter a logical name for your device and the MAC address of the device. Note: You will not need to add dashes or colons to the device’s MAC address. The MAC address for your device will often be displayed on the back of the device near the serial number. If you cannot locate the

6. MAC address for your device, contact the device vendor. Click Create MAC.

7. You will then see a verification page for the device you just added.

8. You may now join the network with this device and will not be prompted for credentials.

Removing a Device Previously Created 1. Follow steps 1 through 4 as shown in the previous section. 2. At the Start Here Screen, click List Devices

3. Here you will see any devices that you have previously added. Select the device you would like

to remove by clicking on it.

4. Click Remove. When prompted, select Delete account and click Make Changes. Note: if you

select Disable Account, the device will no longer be able to access the network, but it will still

count against your device limit.

5. You have now successfully removed the device.
